There are 10 teams that you wouldn’t be surprised if they finished top 4. Gonna be an interesting season
Exactly, I wouldn’t be too surprised if anyone in that top 10 gets into the CL next year except maybe West Ham. There are some very competent teams in the bottom half as well (Wolves, Palace, Brentford), basically anyone not in that bottom 4. The Prem is so much stronger than any other league these days.

Just seen the stat - Villa have taken 68 points from 33 PL games since Emery took over. That's Champions League form over pretty much a full year's worth of football. Unbelievable job he's done given that I think they were in the relegation zone when Gerrard was sacked.

They're scoring a lot of goals too - only Newcastle have scored more this season. We've had a stronger start to the season so far but they're only one point behind us (albeit having played a game more) and I can see them being dark horses for a top four spot if they keep key players fit.
I think/hope Europe will start to take its toll on them as the season goes on.

Always had a soft spot for Villa since I was a kid, so it's nice to see them actually doing a thing for...the first time since I was a kid. Proper club, and a proper history.

That said, not too good, lads. Reign it in a little.

Can't say I've got a soft spot for them but fully agree on the proper club/proper history part. Them and Everton were always the two main clubs that I thought had the potential to gatecrash the party if they ever got competent owners..

Important to try our very best for maximum points against Palace on Friday, tonight was a great 3 points, but it’s notable that all of our main rivals have absolute gimmes next week.

After seeing who City are playing, you're spot on!

Hoping for a few shocks this weekend… apart from on Friday, obviously.

Yeah me too, it’s a shame tbh. Would be lovely to get some real momentum and then sit back and watch others drop points, but the only ones I can see doing so are United/City as they play each other.

Arsenal will obliterate Sheffield United who may as well be relegated now tbh. However if we can get ourselves five points ahead, the following week we play Chelsea and they play Newcastle.

TV picks have only been made up to the first weekend of December. That midweek round will be scheduled soon and all teams playing Sunday will be moved away from the Tuesday.

It's awful that they haven't managed to give us all of December so we can plan the Christmas fixtures, but for some reason or other they're being really slow to release TV picks this year.
