The most annoying thing about that flukey last minute goal was that i had put an acca on 4 draws today and just couldn't see a goal at the end so waited it out.

a £1 bet was a few minutes from getting me £220. (n)

That Haaland 'performance' might have been the most anonymous run out I've ever seen from a footballer. He doesn't even make a nuisance of himself. I'd be seeting if a spurs player put that performance in. Not sure if that is his usual performance, bar putting away a ton of goals, but my god that was shocking

Really good to see City's infallibility get ripped away. It's always tough to bounce back from winning big the season before and long may it continue for them. Decent results all round for us. Plenty of draws for the top 6-8 teams. And the break could do us good.

We need our players to stay fit... and not pick up stupid bookings. City would probably have won their last 3 matches (at least 2 of them) had Rodri not stupidly got sent off.

Apparently any team that beats City is a shoe in for the league....Cant wait for the open top bus in Wolverhampton...

City will still win the league by 7+ points

They’re a different animal after Christmas
Not sure that is actually true:

Last year - Before Xmas P16 W12 L2 D2 (2.375 PPG) .After Xmas P22 W16 L3 D3 (2.32 PPG)
21/22 - Before Xmas P18 W14 L2 D2 (2.44 PPG) .After Xmas P20 W15 L1 D4 (2.45 PPG)
20/21 - Before Xmas P14 W9 L2 D5 (2.285 PPG) .After Xmas P22 W18 L4 D0 (2.45 PPG)

They have only had a decent improvement after Xmas in 1 of the last 3 seasons and even that only equates to 6 points across a whole season.

Other than score brilliant goals Haarland has nothing to offer.

Not sure Pep's summer buys for the City midfield are good enough for a team that has the aspirations they do. Good players but nothing outstanding.

At least until Jan. Then we’ll need another forward and CB. Very, very unlikely all our key players remain fit throughout the whole season.

We will need player in during January for sure. But let’s see if we are up there and reinvest or do what we’ve done in the past and not bought to kick on. A centre back is a must though obvs.

Agree but think our chairman will aim to dissapoint again.
To dare is to do but not in

I'm sure Mr Levy will disappoint yet again.

Thanks for that, very interesting. Think that highlights that other teams drop off while City just keep constant. Think it would b good to see their ratio for last 10-12 games, that might be more revealing.

Think Jota would be a good addition. I assume they will go back for Kelly in January too. But should we be in the same position or at least in mix come January I hope Dan doesn't sit on his hands and really goes out to give Ange everything he needs.

Interesting because it always feels like they improve in the run in but maybe it's more they are consistent across the entire season whereas their challengers for the title tend to dip towards the end of the season.

We talk about depth, but arsenal have CL so 2 games a week while we have 1! They lose a few key players and will be in just as much trouble as us. Should have done them at the emirates and they have to come to us. On top of that we beat pool! I think we can honestly believe that we do have a genuine chance as city just look off it this season.
