Partey, Odegaard, Saka and Saliba are annoyingly good

Any 2 of them can be out for a while at the same time they will struggle to play the same

The other 7 are replacable

Missing these chance is gonna come back to bite Everton. Doubt they can sustain this intensity in the 2nd half.

Dyche’s teams get an unfair rep from most people. They press with a ton of intelligence and teamwork and are always intense in their attacks. That’s always been the case.

Because Everton missed two huge chances
How much of that is down to luck and how much down to Everton are shit? They have the 2nd worst goals scored record in the league. Everton wouldn't be 19th if they could hit a barn door.

This is why I love football, cracking game.

Dyche doing everything right, block passes to partey, onana almost man marking him and CL stopping the passes getting to him.

2 men on Saka whenever he gets the ball and a high press (at times) with a hostile crowd. It's like Moyes Everton is back today.
Proper football

New manager bounce and all that but Dyche is really underrated.

Check out his tactics masterclass on YouTube, he communicates so well, keeps things simple and varies the play, good management

Arsenal have been shut down but I still think they get one bit of space and Everton will rue those missed chances.

I watched that video a few days ago and it's excellent. Gives a new dimension to understanding dyche and how he approaches the game.

If he keeps Everton up and is allowed to invest he could surprise people.

Yeah, I've watched that, seems like a top bloke, keeping it simple is all Everton need at the minute, if they play like this against weaker defences they'll pick up points, just need DCL to start firing.

Quite clear I think the Everton players had stopped playing for Lampard. Just look at how they are tearing into Arsenal today.

Perhaps they had lost their respect for Lampard ? Isn't the what happened at Chelsea ?

Probably that and the new manager bounce. Even in Dyche’s worst Burnley times, his teams still carried these principles though. His plan is very simple with and without the ball, but to counter it often requires matching their intensity, which isn’t easy.

Just as an aside - but that foul against Xhaka, I hate that he immediately reached for his head when it was a shoulder to his back.

I think they need to really crack down on the “fake” head injuries.
