Just annoys me that we can't do what they do in the final third.
We can; not being coached to; or the players aren't following instructions properly; or we haven't got the right blend of players with sufficient footy brains to do it.

We're playing too safe, not getting round the back, not playing progressive incisive balls in between players, not dynamic enough with our movement; STOPPED PRESSING which charges us up and increases out tempo and intensity all-round.

The problems we have are not hard to fix. Poch needs to not over-analyse and get back to progressive basics. I don't care if we let in a few extra goals; we will win more games if we go for it more...and score more, anyway.

I'm a poch fan boy but nothing comes before my club, nothing and no one.

I want him here for a good few years but he has to grow as a manager; still has a fair bit to learn...mostly about himself.

This season is a big test for him...can he look himself in the mirror and say, 'I'm really getting a couple of things wrong here and need to embrace my errors and deal with them face-on', even if it means pissing ERIKSEN off (for e.g.) and making him a bench option until he decides to turn up for games.

He has to rediscover his ruthless side; he's gone a bit soft. If he learned anything from Ferguson - especially after that extended lunch date chat they had - it should be that there is a time to be an almighty xxxx and whip the players back into shape if they slack off.

Completely agree with you mate, echoed most of your points in that Poch thread I did the other day, he needs to go back to basics.

FFS Bournemouth, you don't give the ball to Sanchez inside the area like that. Hopeless.

If we go out of Europe completely we'll be in the same boat as the top two - one game a week. Lots of time to practice and prepare. That probably will help us get back to the flowing football of the previous 18 months.

But we can't keep throwing away competitions. The only way to get a winning mentality is by winning things (realistically). We're not going to win the league. The Europa League is a good competition to further our development if we for once take it seriously.

Just saw the goals in Swansea - Palace. Swansea's set piece defending was atrocious, we need to take advantage next weekend.

As long as Swansea have a man at the front post they will be ok

If that's not an evening it up call after the soft penalty in the first half I don't know what is. That is 100% a handball.

Last season after 13 games you could go from 1st to 19th without encountering a points difference of more than 3. Only 9 points separated the top 11.

This season it's already 16 points separating the top 11 if Bournemouth lose (15 points if not.) The top 3 already have more points than the leaders this time last year, and Arsenal will have the same if they win.

The effect of the TV money making everything more competitive has worn off, I think. It looks like it will be normal service resumed this year, and sadly that probably means us finishing 5th. Especially when the goal differences are also beginning to form a clear top-four. To be competitive at the half way mark we essentially have to outscore Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City by by 10 goals over the next 5 games, which definitely doesn't look like happening.

And some of our fans wanted him here. thankfully we could never afford him

I'd rather have had Harry back than that ****!!

Pogba can't have any complaint with that yellow. If he jumped and the leg had actually gone under his he might have had a case but it was nowhere near him

Man utd draws, Everton loses. Seems like we are still able to at least finish 5th. We need to wake up soon before things get worse

I don't get why Man Utd fans are so pissed?

Both their rivals Watford and Everton dropped points as well this week... :cautious:
