Did your phone autocorrect to N’Golo without you realising?Watched the match last night. I like N'golo John. Has something about him.
As I can’t see any similarities with Kante, who is the only N’Golo I can think of.

I know, was just very impressed by him as a centre mid for the future. Don't read too much into it.Did your phone autocorrect to N’Golo without you realising?

Not reading anything into it, just seemed a very strange choice so I was wondering if you were a victim of auto correct from Nile to N’Golo… guess not.I know, was just very impressed by him as a centre mid for the future. Don't read too much into it.
I needed a name of a great CM that also starts with N.Not reading anything into it, just seemed a very strange choice so I was wondering if you were a victim of auto correct from Nile to N’Golo… guess not.
I’d have not batted an eyelid at Mousa, or Luka, or Anders.
Yeah part of the reason I thought he was a number 6 was because Norwich fans were absolutely stunned when he scored a goal. Watching clips I always got the impression he was mostly used as a DM both covering defensively and doing simple, metrononic passing.yeah he played as the deepest midfielder, i watched a lot of Norwich last season, i live in Norwich and they are my 2nd team and he was superb throughout the season and was always the deeper one. He broke up a lot of attacking play and rarely got forward but he really kept the team clicking with quick passes.
Nothing like a nice round of homophobia from a **** in a Chelsea shirt to ruin a good night out
Yeah he rarely got forward, there was one game where he won a penalty and it was a bit shocking he was that far up the pitch. He replaced Tettey as that deeper midfielder so players like McLean, cantwell and buendia could push up more. He did some brilliant work as well with covering the gaps left by the fullbacksYeah part of the reason I thought he was a number 6 was because Norwich fans were absolutely stunned when he scored a goal. Nuno interview.
Never would have been on my wish list when we sacked Jose, but I’m feeling really positive about this guy so far.
@levytime ?Consider getting an iron. Perhaps that will smooth out the mocking edges.
Toots.
@taidgh reason for being so “brave”, or just a natural state of being?Man, you are funny. So, so funny. I. Can't. Stop. Laughing.

Having a bad few days? No one was mocking you for being dyslexic. Many people misspell our players' names. Those posts were laughing at that. There were no personal or directed attacks. No need to get so defensive.@taidgh reason for being so “brave”, or just a natural state of being?
Instead of me giving you a ‘doh’, how about a straight to my face. I prefer those that at least have the balls to mock me. Go on. Let’s hear it then… won’t be anything I haven’t heard before. Regale me.
My thought while watching the match is that the midfield counterparts would be Dele/Lo Celso as the most advanced of the midfield 3, playing wide but driving to the middle; Winks/NDombele playing centrally, collecting the ball from the defense and either passing or driving forward (though NDombele would be much better than Winks at the latter); and PEH/Skippy playing more box to box on the right. You could also have PEH and Skippy on the field at the same time if we need more defense. From what I’ve seen early with Nuno’s approach, I think he’s seems to want the midfield 3 to have a passer/ press resister dropping deepest, with the players in front almost splitting wife and driving forward to overload the opposition fullbacks while all three attackers stay relatively narrow.
This may evolve when we have more first choices available, but Dele and Skipp had pretty wide starting positions whenever we recovered the ball v Colchester, same with Dele and John v LO.
Based on current personnell, I’m curious to see whether Højbjerg is earmarked for what Winks was doing, or for what Skipp was doing, and also interested to see if Ndombele is earmarked more for Winks’ role or Dele’s.
I’d suggest that if this is in any way an indication of what we’re going to do, Lo Celso and Skipp may well be having it out on the one side, Dele and Ndombele on the other, and Højbjerg and Winks in the middle. I think the versatility of Skipp and Højbjerg to both be able to do yesterday DCM role and RCM roles will help a lot, plus potential Lo Celso‘a ability to do either yesterday’s LCM or RCM role.
I don’t think I really see Ndombele fitting but I hope I’m wrong, and I definitely don’t see what Sissoko would bring to it (but I may be being optimistic).
Cesay has an edge to him for certain, stands up for himself. Love that confidence in a young player.I'm still seeing that Skipp first time pass to Steve B in my mind's eye. ?
I really enjoyed the match. Skipp, John, Scarlett all look like they should be in and around the 1st team. Skipp looked like he'd played in this team for years already. Dele worked his bollocks off again, Son was playing in full beast mode, Steve B was running rampant and a goal would have topped off a really good performance.
Fair play to the young full backs too. They have had an opportunity to catch the eye and the future looks bright for them. I have a sneaky feeling that Cesay will be a regular player for us in 2-3 years time.
