Sure sure, rain is rain, act of god, monsoon season etc etc. But it'll be interesting to see if the event organisers could have done anything better on the day to rid the pitch of water, also what happens normally in these conditions where heavy rainfall is common... are the pitches always getting waterlogged? Sack the bloody groundsman.

Breaking News: Levy has managed to quickly organise 90 minutes of football back in Europe, a bit closer to home than this shambles. Lads will land in Rhodes later tonight.
Followed by a match with Spartak Moscow in Crimea on Thursday

If any of you question why I’m so negative 90% of the time, on my birthday I’ve seen England likely lose the Ashes because of rain, Tottenham have their game cancelled 6000 miles away from England due to rain and Lewis Hamilton will likely be done on turn 1 by Verstappen later. Let me live.
Hamilton down to P4 on turn 1 😂😂😂

I was at the stadium today. Have been to hundreds of games in the Thai Premier League (that is played through the rainy season) and seen games played in worse rain than we had today.

A Thai person told me that when Liverpool played Man United in the same stadium then a lot was made about checking the drainage system because rain like that is not infrequent during the rainy season. Today, the drainage didn’t seem great and there weren’t many people trying to deal with the puddles.

I just got a load of messages from a couple of mates who are in Bangkok (Chinese guys- very passionate about the club)
They're really upset as the players and staff ignored a small group of fans who waited over an hour after the game was called off.
Not one member of the touring party acknowledged them- they're so upset and really feel let down by their heroes (it wasn't raining at that time).
A shame tiz all

Odd - I thought I saw the players come out and make a lap around the pitch clapping the supporters. Not sure how they missed a group.

Buggsy Buggsy give us a wave !
Wave of water more like!!..
What a disaster and just got back to the hotel looking like a drowned rat!. When it rains in the tropics its like someone throwing a bucket over you. Apparently we get our money back for the ticket, unless there is a Levy disclaimer lurking somewhere that everyone has missed.
Met up with a load of Spurs fans in the morning and we ended up drinking pints of happy hour chang draft for 100 baht, which is about £2.50/pint. The stadium is not serviced by any nearby station so we got there by tuk tuk and canal boat which was a laugh.
Found myself stood next to Chris Cowlin of vlogging fame, and he is very much the charming fellow he comes over as in is vlogs.
Anyway, onto Singapore, and hoping for some football this time.....................

I expect nothing but 7 goals or more from us when we play Lion City Sailors.

Local football has been nothing but bordering on shambolic levels.

And there is no chance of any cancellation as Singapore National Stadium has a retractable roof.
What if their shore leave gets denied?

They did… but this was before the cancellation was officially announced. They had just about finished the circuit when most people in the stadium found out.

I was looking forward to seeing progress today like many of you. A lot of my optimism from a few weeks ago is fast leaving me. Still no CB (even a cheapo young version seems impossible!), Kane likely going. That “defence” still as messed up as ever. We just seem way off and again ill prepared for the season - AGAIN!

So you weren't optimistic (checks notes) just 4 days ago after the West Ham friendly?

A shockingly amateurish pre-season which is doing Ange and the players absolutely no favours at all. Arsenal have already played 4 games.
