I thought Maddison could have had a better debut. I’d like to see him demanding the ball more. But it looks like the first few weeks have focused on the build up from the back, before we start working more on the attacking phase.

Also look at it, we’d have to score at least 3 each game to guarantee a draw.

Comical that we still haven’t got anyone new in at CB.

So funny, it just feels wrong setting up with attacking intent, I think we're all conditioned to be safe after the last few seasons.

First 45 with some of those out there with only a handful of training sessions. The ideas are there!

They’re playing like the old us. Hitting us on the break and with success. It’s good we conceded like we have as it reiterates the need for CB’s. Asap!

We’ve been all over them in all honesty. Denied certain pen, missed 2 sitters and had numerous other chances. Bissouma bossing it. Attacking lots. So refreshing. Just need to be better off the ball and not concede shit goals. Get the CB’s in!!

Going by updates in here it sounds like we've been well on top. Is that correct?

Well, most of the play and should have had two. They look dangerous on the break and could score from any set piece. We know our defence isn't right, so focusing on the attacking play, it's night and day from last season.

Really good first impression of Ange's style of football, if it's later in preseason and the lads were more match sharp we'd have 2 or 3.

Also crystal clear to Levy to get some defenders in ASAP

This is good. The style, patterns and intent is all there whilst also affirming what we all know about the defence. If Ange wanted to wait for a match scenario before making his mind up on the defenders thankfully it’s only taken 45 minutes to show him what he needed to know. Hopefully we can crack on with the clear out and the recruitment now.
