It’s good theyre seeing these issues in pre season. If we’d had won every game and looked incredible prob wouldn’t spend the money required

That Pass by Skipp was something we havent seen much of in recent years.

Kane running ahead but Deki was our wide for an easy pass.

Skipp chose the harder, defence splitting pass.

Conte and Jose didnt encourage that

Despite two stupid set pieces conceded I'm actually enjoying this game and seeing so many good things that I look forward to seeing the results of down the road.

The other interesting thing about this game is that it's quite the introduction for Ange - a proper rival who hate us and get themselves up for even a friendly, and more importantly, an old fox of a manager in Moyes.

It's been said a few times that the calibre of manager Ange will come up against this season could not be higher, and it may take some time for him to adapt to the sheer variety of different tactics he will come up against.

Moyes here showing that even mediocre teams in the PL will provide threats from set-pieces and high balls, whilst being able to do a decent defensive job and soak up pressure.

It's all fine - we will adapt over time. But it's good that most people are already prepared for a bumpy first season, because we could have some very dodgy results to begin with.

It will never stop being funny that Spurs fans continually question the team's "mentality" when we think the sky is falling because we're losing a pre-season game.

Tanganga and Reguilon not good enough. They need to go.

Solomon has looked good in patches, and Madders not bad as well

This has been what is fun to watch.

Look at the shocking defending aside, you can clearly see more fluid movement and attacking intent.

Defence is a problem and we are looking vulnerable to counter though, so this will take time (and new defenders lol) to be as effective as it can be.

I wouldn't lose sleep over pre season losses. We thrashed teams all over in some past pre seasons and we still started the actual seasons like shit.

I just want Ange to tweak the changes accordingly. I know he will.

Solomon doesn't look a left sided player, all a bit head down and his first thought seems to be turn back.
Not sure how many sessions he's had though as he like a few others seem a bit lacking in sharpness and touch.

We are so attacking that everytime we lose it in midfield there is 3 on two at the back. 😂 it’s gonna be a bumpy ride while they learn and we get new players settled.
But our defenders were atrocious in a low block as well.

Ultimately we can be well coached and play much better football across the pitch, but if our defenders are simply unable to cut out basic mistakes whatever the system, there will be a big limit on what we can achieve until they are replaced.
