If I'd just spent a year in southern Italy, and found myself having to go back the head office in Essex, I'd be pretty unenthusiastic as well...

Slightly wrong, Hotspur Way is in London Borough of Enfield, formerly Middlesex , who would want to associate themselves with Essex, unless you live there. :)

PS Of course there are some lovely places in Essex

What an absolutely huge squad!!! Maybe we are venturing into NFL full time as a club now 🤣

45 players!!!
29 if you include only senior pros, but as we know some youth players will get a chance then that is a shed load of players whom we will be looking to / need to move on!!!

Sportsdirect clearance sale needed!!!

Ange turns Tanguy into a monster and 90% of this forum will need to eat a big ass piece of humble pie.

Let's see how he gets on under AP before jumping to any conclusions/insults.
He won't though because Tanguy lacks the mental strength and fortitude tk get the best out of himself

I know what you’re getting at but this ‘you’ll be proved wrong’ style of debate is what makes the haters double down and dig in even more as they don’t want to be seen as eating big ass humble pie.

How about we all just appreciate he wasn’t a good fit for Jose / Conte but hope he takes the opportunity to resurrect his Spurs career under Ange.

There’s no doubt he’s got the quality we just need to find the right motivation (something that Ange appears to be good at from early signs)

It will be interesting to see who we do and don’t take on the pre season tour. Last year we took a squad of 28 to S Korea.
Player list included in link below

https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/news/tottenham-south-korea-tour-squad-24446576?int_source=amp_continue_reading&int_medium=amp&int_campaign=continue_reading_button#amp-readmore-target

At present, the likely players to head off are:

GK:
Vicario
Forster
Austin

Def:
Romero
Dier
Davies
Spence
Sanchez
Rodon
Porro
Emerson
Udogie
Sessegnon
Regulion

Mid
Bissouma
Sarr
Hojbjerg
Maddison
White
Skipp
Devine

FWD
Gil
Kulu
Son
Kane
Richie
Parrott
Scarlett
Solomon (TBC)

Thats 29 at present without including the likes of Tanguy, GLC, Bentancur (injured).

There is also Hugo & Perisic who are rumoured to be leaving.

We have such a bloated squad and it will be anticipated that a few leave before the squad jet off.

I agree, however when you level abuse at a player you open yourself up to ridicule too, that’s more of the point I was trying to get across. It seems to be a running theme amongst our fans over all platforms to completely shit on players who put our shirt on but don’t meet the fans personal expectations.

If they then go on to turn things around and deliver, those fans deserve to be shown the I told you so card, it’s the nicest way of saying you shouldn’t abuse ANY player who puts the shirt on unless they directly disrespect the club.

Having bad performances isn’t disrespectful, so it doesn’t warrant disrespect in return.

Fighting fire with fire and all that.

Isn’t it common for players who are expected to leave to be left behind on pre-season tours? I don’t really follow pre-season so I have no idea, this is just an assumption I’ve always had.

IIRC last year we left behind a bunch of players including Tanguy, Lo Celso, Reguilon and Winks, all of which them went out on loan.

Could be the same this year unless Ange wants more time to look at players before making a decision.

Sounds stupid but it's nice to see ball work so early in pre season. I feel like under Conte at least the ball didn't come out for a few weeks!!
