Kulusevski having to cut back onto his left foot every time is a real hinderance in this system.
100%.

Solomon for Kulu for our best XI for me.

Based on pre-season so far my starting XI for 1st PL game would be:

Vicario

Emerson
Romero
NEW CB!!!! (If not then Davies or Dier but neither ideal at all)
Udogie

Bissouma
Sarr or Lo Celso (*Bentancur once fit again)
Maddison

Solomon
Kane (Richy if Kane leaves)
Son

2nd choice XI:

Forster

Porro
Tanganga (hoping we sell him as personally don't rate at all)
Davies or Dier
Reguillon

Skipp
Lo Celso or Sarr (possibly sign a new CM especially if we sell Lo Celso)
Ndombele or PEH (likely sell one of them)

Kulusevski
Richy (or new ST signing or Kane has left)
Perisic or Gil

I feel like I've maybe forgotten someone but this to me is likely how Ange might see it come first game of the season but obviously things will change between now and then after the next few pre-season matches and any incomings and outgoings.

We dominate the game as Lion City Sailors aren't very good and play defensive,
but we aren't playing much in the manner Ange want us to.
Unpopular opinions time, but the manager need Kane sold, and our big name wingers have more suited challengers in the squad.
I'd agree with this. Kane goes, Richy leads the line and then we buy a pacey RW and pacey forward as back up. The teams still look a bit slow in the final third.

Bissouma, Sarr and Maddison all played well.

Front 3 are still on their holidays.

Davies reminded us why we desperately need a competent LCB.

I really really like some of these players that are coming into more prominence in our team, Sarr, Udogie, Bissouma, Maddison

Lots of good work but looks like a real pre season game with touches slightly off and crosses well beyond but that will settle down soon.
Sarr is really getting himself noticed.

Movement & possession look good, players obviously not at 100% sharpness yet though.

First half thoughts.

This keeper isn't filling me with confidence but early days.

Davies doesn't need to be aggressive if Romero is alongside him, he was in no man's land in the build up to the goal , I trust a defender is coming though, surely?!

Porro totally absent in this role so far.

I think Sarr hasn't been great. Athletic yes but too rash in forward areas and wastes shots.

Maddison and Son have been fine and Kane amazingly starved off service.

Kulu has been pretty bad. All left foot and his right isn't good enough.

What I'd like to see tried is Emerson at right back, Porro right wing and Kulu in place of Sarr. Porro has a brilliant cross and I think Kulu would be more dangerous centrally.

I’d try Porro at right wing too. He’s not a defender and has a great cross on him.

Agree with you and @rabbikeane we are dominating but its not yet how Ange would want us to be playing.

Richy and a pacey RW would help a lot with the style of play Ange will want.
