Taking last season's stats:
Court: 8 Scored 6 assists.
Ozil: 6 scored 19 assists
Silva: 1 scored 11 assists
Erik: 6 scored 16 assists.
He's up amongst the best, only behind Ozil. Season remains young and I don't feel like we're firing or balanced in the final third this season. People have short memories. It's like a fantasy league! :)

The season is not young, it's a quarter of the way through. I like Eriksen, but the facts are plain to see, he has produced nothing of note so far and comparing last season is plain daft. Even i scored more often than Eriksen this season, and if you don't believe me ask your wife............

Our problem is obvious (and it isn't depth) it is top line talent in the final 3rd. Until we get that sorted we will continue to be a team that is hard to beat but not too tough to get a draw against, all very predictable.

knee jerk from most of the post above.

For a team without it's top striker and with the added CL games to be a point from the top spot is not bad and I will go a step further to say is remarkable also considering we have just had three games away from home.

take assnal, with there main man playing drew at hone to boro; city likewise.

Only top team to have won this weekend is Liverpool and Chelsea. Both at home and without the added CL commitment. We are a point behind Liverpool and same point with Chelsea. If I was a fan of one of these clubs I will be worried that spurs are so close to them.

Apart from the City game we really have not hit top form yet. We know that Poch trains the players very hard and perhaps we are struggling at the start of the season from that but I hope we will see players get stronger and form pick up. We also have new players being integrated to a tightly knit squad and again I expect us to improve.

The weekend results of the likes of City and Arsenal should help us as fans to get some perspective and realise we have no right to win every game

Eriksen has been disappointing in quite a few games and doesn't score goals anymore. Somehow he's also forgotten that he's a good freekick taker too.

Little bit unfair . I recall a superb free-kick in the dying seconds of WBrom was it...perfect for the top corner..just touched out by keeper .

No Kane, No Toby. New striker that will no doubt fire next year. New £30M player that had no pre season. The Moose just starting to get fit, Christian and Erik about to really click because he is back. Unbeaten in the league. Everything to play for in CL.

I have been supporting Spurs for well over 40 years. Never in that time has Spurs fans and perspective been mentioned in the same sentence.

Erikssen just doesn't carry enough of a goal threat that we need from him. Compared to Silva, or Couthinio, or Ozil he is lacking I'm afraid.

Since he arrived Eriksen has just 2 Premier League goals less than Coutinho, more assists than Coutinho and way more chances created than Coutinho. But the press love Coutinho. Eriksen has also had half a season less than Coutinho to achieve those stats. He's not at the top of his game at the moment but he's still really important.

Hes not wrong. I think we are good to compete for 4th, but for the title we need more goal power to win games like today and West Brom. Poch is only stating the obvious.
sure we do! However why didn't see this when the transfer market was open? We should have dont our business then!
At the moment, I don't rate Sissoko, I would have preferred Chadli to stay and we should have got that Dembele that Celtic bought.

How does Siggy fare with those comparisons? 11 goals and 3 assists for misfiring forwards.

He's right, we do. However we are budget limited and will not be amongst the big boys in terms of wages and transfer spending until our increased spending revenue.

I'm surprised Pochettino has come out and said this however, especially given he was backed in the Transfer Window by Levy - perhaps this is evidence that in fact Richard Key's rumour mill that suggested all was not well behind the scenes may not be at off the mark.

I think Pochettino is an ambitious manager and wants to win the title. Will be massively surprised if he's not poached by one of the big European clubs in the next 5 years.

What's I'd like however is for him to be successful with us first.

Eriksen has a goal ratio of 1 goal in 4 games since being with us.
Coutinho's goal ratio for Liverpool is 1 in 5.
Ozil for Arsenal is 1 in 5.
Silva for City is 1 in 6.

I think you should change your user name to "statsman"..........well done (y)

Just think Poch needs to have a pair of bollocks when we are on top sometimes.

Our attacking options werent great Sat, but If Fergie was manager, he would have had every player with a goal in him ON the ptch
