Please explain: from where does this faith in Mauricio Pochettino arise?

Serious question- not trolling, not wishing to wind anyone up-- I literally just don't get it. I keep reading on here, over and over and over again, that:

-We must stick with Poch because we always fire our managers too quickly; as such, we must stay with our current coach lest we be the laughing stock of the league.
-We must stick with Poch because he hasn't yet had nearly enough time to correct things; in fact, he ought to get at least two full seasons- minimum- before we even think of reevaluating his position.
-We must stick with Poch because we need to play in a discernible, systemic fashion- as opposed to the "Helter Skelter" approach of previous administrations- and he is the man to implement this.
-We must stick with Poch because a youth movement is the way forward, and he is the man who will develop and integrate our young players in the future.
-We must stick with Poch because Tottenham are about playing football with flair and excitement; he will make this happen.
-We must stick with Poch because other clubs (Ars*nal and Man U, to name a few) have stuck by their managers and enjoyed long-term success because of this.
-We must stick with Poch because we need someone who can pick the right players for us, someone who can spot talent on the open market and get said player into our squad.
-We must stick with Poch because in addition to acquiring talented players, Poch will also pick the right players. Talent only goes so far- what is needed is talent that fits. Poch knows what he wants and needs. He will get the correct men for his system and he will fuse them into the team in keeping with his overall footballing philosophy.

I could go on and on but I think I'll stop there. So here are my questions:

1) Why do you feel he will do any (or all) of the above? What is it about him- either in his past or in the present- that gives you this inclination?
2) What about him do you like? What good things has he done thus far at Tottenham?
3) What aspects of his coaching do you currently dislike? Has he done anything to make you begin to question your faith in him?
4) At what point do you say "we hired the wrong guy again- and he needs to go. He is not the answer for us and the longer he is here the worse off we will be."
5) Lastly- could anyone- given time- coach Spurs? I mean this. This whole "give him time"-mantra is based mostly upon the fact that he is a professional who- if given time- will right the wrongs at Spurs. Would the same go for Tim Sherwood? Or Juande Ramos? If not, why not? What is the difference between him and them?

Pointless questions after 11 league games in charge. Give the man a chance. He's working with a bang average squad short on confidence adopting to yet another new manager.
it's a new regime. These things take time. Lets give him some. This season was never going to be any different.

Also the faith comes from him having a history of playing the type of football most fans would like to see replicated at Spurs. And he has yet to be backed by the management fully.

Stability at 12th spot?
If he has not got it right in 5 games not 5 years he has to go.
Why should we put up with shit? Would Chelsea? Would Real Madrid?-No.

From what I've read he lives eats and breathes football and always has done. When playing in Spain on days of or after traning he'd go and watch a match. 20 caps for Argentina, liked what he done at Southampton.

because everyone needs a bit of time in a new job to settle in and impose their way of doing things.

If you had recently started a job would you like to be judged straight away & condemned as not good enough without even been given a chance? As far as I'm concerned he's in that free period where we should withhold judgement & be given time, then we can asses... I find the constant irrational baying for blood of a man just new to his job pathetic. & is as far flung from support as you can get

You can't say real supporters mate. All people want is success for the club, people differ on how that should be achieved, but it doesn't mean they aren't real supporters.

Because we have a group of players who you admitted in a previous post are poor, a manager cannot simply coach a player to stop being weak, average, clumsy or slow. And definitely not in 4 months!

And because if we sack and hire again then what indication is there with our squad that they could do any better, especially with the changes of personnel across the coaching staff.

So he should manage us because our squad (with which Tim Sherwood got 6th) is poor- and because other people might not do better than him (though we currently sit 12th).

Ok...

...but tell me, what is it about Pochettino in particular that gives you the feeling that he is the man to turn us around and be responsible for our renaissance? I guess my issue is that I'm hearing a lot of reasons why he shouldn't be fired, but not a lot of reasons why he should've been hired.

Jury's out no doubt. The club seem to be making the right noises in terms of giving him time, but if we lose the next couple of games, I could see him getting sacked.

Not a Sh1twood fan, but he seemed to do better with virtually the same squad.

There's your problem.. He has been hired, you need to accept that whether you didn't want him or not is irrelevant, it's not your decision to make.. He has got the job.. not you or me, so get over it. If your unaware of his reputation within the game then it's your failings not his, that's why the club hired him, so let him get on with his job..
