He has quite literally man marked Kane out of games in the past. This is an incredible signing considering his experience and the price.

Us getting fourth was huge. I thought it would just be about keeping Conte and Kane happy and it wouldn’t matter that much in terms of transfers. But that was if we’d have lost out on it to someone like Man Utd. If we’d have been beaten to it by Arsenal it would have been terrible. I don’t think it is a stretch to say perisic wouldnt have signed and also players like Bissouma and Richarlson would be linked with the scum and probably going there. It has been massive.

100% - hoping its a major sliding doors moment we end up looking back on in years to come. Could be the making of us under Conte.

Great bit of business.
My mate (who is also a Spurs fan) said that when Simon Jordan was talking about this on Talksport earlier, he also let slip that we had signed someone else and they quickly shut him down from saying any more. Did anyone else catch that bit? If true...Eriksen?

Comparison between Bissouma vs Fabinho vs Rice v Hojbjerg vs Bentancur

  1. Rice looks more complete midfielder
  2. Fabinho looks perfect for the pressing team
  3. Bissouma has the best Ground duel stats of all and taking players on
  4. While Hojbjerg does the dirty work but game is pass oriented
  5. Bentancur is also an allrounder -while he wins ball his passing in transition isnt great but he comes alive in opposition third.

Thing thats stands out to me is, how the combinations of Hojbjerg ,Bentancur & Bissouma are complimentary to each other. Conte can pick the 2 he needs based on type of opponent and type of game he wants his midfield to play. Unfortunately, Skipp may miss out game time, but he will surely improve his game when he plays more among this good trio.

Absolutely delighted with this news. I left the match at home against Brighton this year desperate to sign him. He’s always given me Dembele vibes in the middle of the park, that combination of strong and skilful and just being bang involved in the game. Players that don’t allow the game to pass them by.

Yeah I caught that bit, he said "Haven't they signed someone else?" After White said Bissouma would be our third signing and Jordan then kept quiet.

No way Simon Jordan knows our transfer business other than what is in the mainstream media

It's a massive signing. The one CM I really craved for our midfield. Perfect fit and a very good bit of business because at that price it's a steal.

A mini bonus for this deal is that he won't be going to the World Cup this year so will be nice a fresh for us around Christmas.
I doubt Skipp will get a call up yet either so could start the 2nd half of the season with Bissouma and Skipp fully fresh

Bissouma is a beast. His mobility is the real standout over our current options, I think that's what helps with his ground duel and take on stats.

Our midfield options are going to be superb if this goes through. With 5 subs Conte will have the option to keep the energy up in midfield without diminishing the quality. It's great to have. I suspect the bulk of our subs will be in WB and CM throughout the season.

Oh I agree, however in this particular instance, it seems he has heard something that he's not allowed to mention on air just yet
