Think this guy will prove a great signing for whoever gets him

I’m not 100% convinced it should be us, but I’m 1000% convinced that I don’t want him at Arsenal

Bissouma is the perfect Conte midfielder and could get even better playing alongside better players under a top coach.

Bissouma, Bentancur, Hojbjerg and Skipp is a superb set of 4 midfielders to rotate for the 2 dm positions in the 343 or to play alongside Eriksen in a 352 if we get him.

He can dominate games and still has scope to improve, particularly going forward.

Another huge plus is that he isn’t going to the World Cup, so we’d have him and Skipp fresh for the second half of the season.

Bissouma would be a scary signing for Arsenal. Really hope he doesn't end up there. You'd think Chelsea would be looking at him with their ageing midfield.

Arsenal won't rely so much on Partey staying healthy if they get him, perfect signing for them.

100%. Great post. If there’s a midfield player we should be going for this summer it is him. He’s got the ability to go up a couple of levels too.

But it sounds like paratici really like mckinnie. I can’t see us signing both. And unfortunately The Times haven’t got a transfer story correct about us for years. Definitely not an exclusive.

I'd rather him than McKennie...even though they're different.

Bissouma and Eriksen would be fantastic.

Would round off our midfield options perfectly.

From the times -

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur have been told that they need to increase their offer for Yves Bissouma after stepping up interest in the Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder.

Tottenham revived an interest because Bissouma, 25, is about to enter the final year of his contract. Brighton have valued him at around £30 million and rejected offers from Aston Villa and Tottenham in January and interest from Liverpool and Arsenal last summer.

Bissouma has been highlighted for his energy and tackling which resulted in him collecting ten yellow cards last season after eight bookings and one red the season before. He was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault in October and was released under investigation before playing for Mali at the Africa Cup of Nations tournament which started in January. He is waiting to learn the outcome of a police investigation.

From what i can see this is from an article posted May 23rd, in a transfer round up for The Times. We might've missed it completely but it's not been posted yesterday/today.

I would love Bissouma but I can't see us going near him with the criminal charges still looming.

Forgot about that. I was under the impression he was in the clear.

Surprised there's not more of a push for Bissouma, it looks fairly obvious he would improve most teams. He appears to be reasonably priced, and has EPL experience. Essentially, he's ready to hit the ground running.

Mckennie is Box to Box and he is very good going forward & in final third - can ghost into box and has numerous headed goals from set pieces. Defensively, he is a bit lacking. Bissouma is the opposite - he is great defensively & good box to box but not good in final third.

Bissouma vs Mckennie - it comes down to what we/Conte want out of the CM ?

If the wish to add defensive minded CM then its Bissouma - if not Mckennie is good option.

Personally , looking at mix of the CMs we have - I would go for Mckennie over Bissouma, and play him in advanced midfield role in 3-5-2. Eriksen & him can share the load.
