I said in the match thread that he’s always come across in interviews as a confident lad, but maybe that’s spilled over into a bit of arrogance.

It’s not just the ill discipline, but he’s regularly giving the ball away in stupid areas…. and if he’s going to do that then he’s not worth his place in the team, because he offers very little further up the pitch.

Thought it was a shocking decision, never a red. He's just late, there's nothing malicious about it. Again they slow down on var and make it seem far worse. Watch it in real time and it's just a yellow. The ball bounces up, he goes for it but is just too late and catches the player. It should be overturned but of not then there's no hope.

He was poor today and it was a sloppy touch that put him in the position to have to go for the ball

never a red for me though, looked to me as though he thought the forest player was going to lift the ball over his leg so pushed it up. He then went under and made the most of it.

absolutely no "excessive force" like Carragher claimed.

Id appeal it, weak red
I dont think that you can argue with the red to be honest. Stretching and out of control, you could sense he had pulled the weight out of the challenge to a point but he was stupidly clumsy and caught him at the knee. I think if it was one of ours we would expect the red.

Studs just below the knee. That was the reddest of red cards.

Intent doesn't matter. He's incredibly late and if he connects fully, not just grazing him like he did, it's potentially a legbreaker when it's that high. 100% deserved and Football is rightly trying to stamp those high tackles out.

He's not incredibly late, I assume you refer to the slow motion then

He's late and he's high. Others may have gotten away with similar this year but they shouldn't have.

bang on red he's knee height, he's lucky he only side swiped the player or that was a legbreaker of the ugliest variety.

Man needs to wake the fuck up he's been way too lackadaisical of late.

The start of the season promised so much.

Hopefully he'll finish strong because it's looking quite a waste of a season from him.

You can question many things about the referees, but the red card was correct.

I'm really worried about Bissoumas form. In the beginning of the season he looked like a beast, dominating against every team. He took on opponents and came out with the ball from tight spaces. Now, I feel like he's more lazy and sloppy in possession. It feels like two different players.

He is. It's a late, lazy challenge after a lazy touch, and his leg is way too high. He's going for the ball with his studs up instead of anticipating the forest player getting there first and doesn't even try to put his foot to the ground.

Red cards like this can happen to anyone but I do feel like his play in general has been really concerning for the past few months. Gone is the ball carrying and driving force energy he provided early on. He’s always played on the edge with the ball because his best attribute is receiving and playing under pressure, but he’s becoming really nonchalant and sloppy with his touch, ball mastery, and passing, which led to his red. Then the fact he provides zero progressive passing ability and lacks defensive discipline; he’s been poor. By the time he’s available to play another game for us, Bentancur might be back fit. And as far as I’m concerned, he’d be behind both him and Sarr if I’m picking the team. Needs a wake up call, and hopefully this is it, because he provides something none of our other players do at his best. See you in February, hopefully at your best, because we sure could use it.

It was a sending off, I think he was unlucky as it was so fast.

We have had plenty of fouls against us that have not been given, forest should have had more cards.

We get seem to get fouled a lot yet seem to get way more cards against us.

His form has dipped he was world class in his performances till his sending off for the dive!

So sloppy from him, his sloppiness caused him to get the red. This has been a theme of his last few games.

Yup. When everyone is fit, he’s on the bench at the moment. Shouldn’t be the case given how talented he is
