He's a magnet for opposition players. He picks the ball up 10 yards outside our box and just draws two or three players towards him, then glides past them. I give it a couple of weeks until Maddison is completely on his wavelength and is recieving the ball in huge pockets of space. It started to happen a bit today but Bissouma maybe just took an extra stride or touch before releasing it. Once it clicks then Maddison will be turning and running at the CBs.

Agreed, and hopefully this in turn leads to Maddison and Richarlison developing an understanding leading to more creation of that ball today where Maddison put Richy in behind the defence, the only real chance he had but the sort of service he needs.

You can tell that he is having fun on the pitch, such a classy player. Pretty good acceleration for a midfielder too, surprised me couple of times.

Absolutely excellent. The way he glides along with the ball, just brushes challenge off, proper footballer. Quick too, really enjoyed his performance today. Something to build on. Can't wait to see him alongside Bentancur.

Absolutely criminal what Conte did.

Makes you fucking wonder about these 'elite' managers....
Elite managers like him who have a ridiculously specific way of playing and bollocks to coaching anything else you mean.
And spend most of their time moaning in public about needing more players.

He was showing glimpses of what we could expect at the end of the season under Mason, but today he was immense. As close as we’ve had to a Moose replacement.

He is a wonderful player. I cannot for the life of me understand why Conte would not want him to do what he did today, but he clearly stifled Bissouma last season.

Was so good to watch today.

Conte said Bissouma couldn't understand what they wanted from him tactically,
probably upset that he tried to do something with the ball.

This is another one where during Conte times, some people were writing him off, not loads but a few loud voices whereas plenty of us were just frustrated that he wasn’t getting played enough or in a system and style that suited him.

He absolutely ran the show today, top top player, joy to watch.
