he had one of his better games for us, for sure. but when Son scored that tap in 2 minutes after coming on I thought Jannsen never would have been at the post. the biggest problem I see with him right now is his movement off the ball. and thats why he’s not getting the chances.

It was a different game when Son came on as Burnley looked lost and we really started to go up a gear. Also Son/Alli/Eriksen already have a great understanding of each other's play style so that helps. Janssen has to get used to the dealing with the opposition and getting on the same wavelength with our attacking players, it'll take time but he's making steady improvements.

Was a focal point yesterday which was a step in the right direction but still doesn't look he is going to score. This may change if he actually spends more time in the box

Nobody looked like they were going to score and we didn't create real chances until the last 10-15 minutes when Burnley finally pushed men forward and left themselves short at the back instead of the 8 man defence they'd had for the first 70 minutes, and by then Janssen was off.

I think Son is the type of player who is more likely to create a chance for himself but Janssen is the player who will hold the ball up and pull the cb's about, like Kane does, so that others can operate and bomb into forward areas.

In a good day, Kane does that, but will also create his own chances, which is why he's first choice of the three of them, quite rightly.

The issue for me isn't just whether Son should start instead of Janssen in Kane's absence, but whether he should sometimes start instead of Alli as that auxiliary forward. Both he and Alli are unpredictable and erratic but they both produce goals/assists in pretty reliable equal measure right now.

Gradually getting better, great to see. Starting to think he could hit a higher level next season.

Played well

Dele had a go at him at the end which I thought was shitty given that Janssen tried to apologise,

I think anyways haha

I think everybody is aware that Dele is a bit of a knob, but he's our knob.

I would agree about having a go if it is 1 1 but it was 3 1 with a minute remaining. I'd most probably have had a go in all honesty too then again I'm no one's know but my knob :(

Trolls are quiet rather predictably.

Janssen is starting to get it, think he still needs to relax as he's so preoccupied with scoring, he had a chance to play in Alli late on and he took a shot instead, he needs to cut that out. Happy with him though and hopefully he'll gain more confidence from that display.

It was quite obvious we needed more of a linchpin in attack (primarily in the holding the ball up department) in the first half. I wish he would have been subbed on at Halftime for Sissoko, but it happened eventually and I think it made all the difference. If Kane can't go Saturday, he needs to be starting.

The bravery he showed challenging for the ball and shooting when flappihandski clattered him shows why we should keep him on. He didn't even look at the keeper knowing he was going to get smashed, he just went ahead and tried to get his shot off. A lot of strikers wouldn't have been.

Feel a bit sorry for him if Kane is back at the weekend though, so unluckily for him he's playing better just as his game time is about to be reduced again.

Maybe we shouldn't give up on him just yet.

If Kane is not fit then he has to start over Sissoko. Or at the very least give GKN another shot.

It's been a tough first season for him here but i think he can still make it with us. Signs of improvement are there and i like his attitude.
