Yet you voraciously advocated the use of lesniak over signing wanyama, people in glass houses and all of that....,,

Firstly, I'm not the head scout of Spurs. Secondly, that's not exactly what I said. In response to people saying buying Wanyama as "back up" for Dier was a no brainier, I said someone like Lesniak could fill a remit like that - i.e. Playing back up minutes the odd cup game etc. And I'd rather if we are going to keep using Dier or Dembele that we spent money on a more "footballing" type of CM like Tolisso.

I also said Sissoko would be a terrible signing and even worse value at 30m. And that we have players already here who have as much talent as Nkoudou.

Poch is no head scout either, I actually agree in principle with your points just pointing out it's not that straightforward

TBF wanyama seems to be the only player/manager where I've seen you've admitted you got it wrong, we all do sometimes, rather than you persist with a comical Ali type of approach

Interesting quotes from Kane regarding Janssen against Everton and the importance of coming on and working hard. Reading between the lines it looks like Poch has praised VJ for his effort and attitude against Everton and hopefully this will be a good point to build off from him.

Kane also had some words of encouragement for fellow forward Vincent Janssen, who replaced him towards the end against Everton but has not started a league game since October.

"He's just got to do what he did against Everton, even though it might have only been three or four minutes at the end," the England international said.

"He held the ball up, won free-kicks and saw the game out for us and that's what he's got to do every time he gets an opportunity. He has to try to impress no matter how many minutes it is.

"I was the same, I tried to do as much as I could in that time. He's important, we are a team, we are a squad, every man is important."

It would be remarkable if Vincent is able to battle back into poch good book. Which would empower and validate poch's methods even more. Janssen still needs to work on his fitness, but at least now it seems he is showing commitment to his training and diet to regain pochs trust.

Clearly a confidence player going by his former coaches comments. I think Poch will get him physically sharp and mentally prepared and hopefully he will make it. Being backup to Kane is a tough gig and I think his opportunity with Kane getting injured came too early into his time with us. Would love to see him make it as it would solve a big problem for us and enable us to spend our money in other areas.

I think Son has done pretty well when called upon. If Janssen added more goals to his performances I think we are well covered I'd probably look to swap out Sissoko and add someone with real pace in the ilk of Mane to complete the team

Simple facts; we NEED another striker, alongside Janssen, and Son is not the guy.
I believe also, if Bundesliga offered circa 30m we would accept for 'Sonny'.

Not sure about that. We paid about 25m for him. Then there are wages and agent fees. We'd want to make a decent profit on him. I think the least we'd accept is 35m but probably more like 40m.

But no-one there would pay 30M for Janssen and yet you'd rather keep him? If Son leaves in the Summer it will be his choice due to not getting enough starts, the club would be reluctant sellers. If Janssen leaves, which I think is pretty certain, it will be the club's choice because he's not good enough.
