To be fair whether it’s 10 or 15 million or somewhere in between, I just don’t see how we can expect to have a strong negotiation stance with VJ. Anything we open negotiations with can surely just be countered with “you haven’t given him a squad number, he’s had an injury that’s kept him out for some time, your manager has made it completely clear that he doesn’t figure in his plans whatsoever, and despite an injury to Kane, and Son being away, you still wouldn’t bring him back in.” What have we got left? “Well he did well in Holland...”

Glad you are not doing the negotiating for Spurs. You’d be giving the players away and then wondering why you have no money to spend.

I must have missed the part where I said I’d give him away. My point was I’d take a loss on him given that it appears it is literally pointless him being on our books.

The money that we'd gain by trying to recoup the majority of our outlay in transfer fee is worthless when you consider the additional 6 months of wages we'd have to pay anyway. Get him gone so we can all pretend VJ never happens.

Surely he’s got to be given a chance if he doesn’t leave today? There must be a complete breakdown between him and Poch with the injuries we have and a striker with something to prove still not getting a chance.

SSN just said 3 goals and 4 assists in the U23s and back to full fitness. He can only play who’s in front of him but what more could he do?

Burnley were mentioned as a possible destination, but they've chosen to sign crouch instead. That's got to sting for poor VJ.

I feel sorry for him because well... he has been properly shunted to the side having said that 40k a week aint fucking bad. Id play with the reserves for 40k a week

I'd play with myself for for 40K/week. I mean, I'm gonna do it anyway so I might as well get paid an exorbitant amount for the effort.
