I blame him for this window. If he hadn't done whatever the hell he's done we'd be in a much clearer position.
Now Man Utd have us over a barrel. They were never letting Martial come to us, only reason his name was even mentioned is because they were only club who seemed to want him.

Now we're stuck because we don't know what we'll get for him or if he'll be bought. That means we don't know how much we can spend on other players as it's possible next week we'll need a new CB or DM if Dier is backup CB.

Forget this HG bollocks excuse or us not being able to raise what would be peanuts in grand scheme for these fringe players, Toby's situation is why we've done nothing.

I feel like you're missing the point with the HG issue, we literally don't have the space to sign them. Our PL And CL squad are full of Non HG players so we'd need them to leave before we sign someone new.

Whilst we could sign someone new and just not sign up some of the fringe/deadwood players in our squads, we'd be selling them for next to nothing which business wise is bad. We can take the hit and likely will by the sound of things but we'd obviously prefer not to.

As for the rest of what you've said though, I do kinda agree in that if the Toby situation was sorted and cleared up, it'd have us moving a few more cogs/gears.

If Toby goes to United and we don’t get martial I’ll be livid. Holding my breath...
Not content with killing footballers off this window, now SC is going to start losing posters too ...

The worlds gone mad.

That is basically what is happening and we are waiting for Man U to change their stance all while risking losing out on Zaha in the process.

There's no quotes in the Zaha articles either but both seem likely to be true. I'd also say the implication is he's willing to threaten staying in order to get his desired move.

the trouble is next season Man U's new manager might not want Toby:whistle:

I think there is actually a lot of truth to that - not that Poch would be the next manager, but this is shaping up to be Jose's last year, and I am sure that Man U don't want to be in the position of having to unwind all of these deals for the next manager.

Inter have been a mess ever since Mourinho left largely in part due to deals like this.

This is good news, he is poor
Agreed stinks of desperation Man U need a goal they have Mina and Fellini with the ball thrown in the box. Let’s be honest thats all they both are good for.

Mina looked ok but Sanchez looks by far the better defender Mina just scored a couple from set pieces

Think Mina will do well in a Mourinho deep block honestly

He's not quick by any means, but in a Mourinho system, the CBs are in their own box for 88 minutes of the match

The other two minutes are spent in the opposing box for set pieces and then sprinting back to their box

Gards on twitter: So a snippet about Toby, United desperately want him &he is there first choice, Mina is a myth & a smokescreen which levy has called there bluff by making him available for transfer. Now, I would be stunned if he doesn’t go but levy has a huge decision as martial has 2 b included

He goes on to say we won't bring in a replacement.

Woof, we won't bring in a replacement?... That's brave, or foolish depending on your view.

Thank you for the info.

Sounds like we won't accept a straight up fee then and we'll only deal if Martial comes our way. Or maybe I'm reading in to it too much.
