can see why he would be bullied also, not exactly an alpha nor a natural extrovert
luckily for us, we now have a squad of not just good footballers, but decent human beings, who will make him feel safe and welcome

as an aside, from the book "The Culture Code" by Daniel Coyle, research found that the #1 predictor of success in top performing organisations is that the people feel safe.

for the above reasons, I'm very optimistic about Timo's time here with us.
I'm interested in your comments on him being bullied. Has that come from his time at Leipzig??

Just watched one of his highlight reels and reminds me a lot of Defoe. Short back lift, some thumping goals, lots of power and pure strikes, not shot shy, similar speed and running style.

Hes going to be the difference in some tight games I reckon.

He was a seriously dangerous player prior to signing for Chelsea. Say all you want about different leagues / easier chances, but some of these finishes are superb no matter which league or division you’re playing in.

Well you did say that, but you also said that what I was saying misunderstands how the transfer market operates.

Lets just clarify: do you think that my criticism could be valid, just I'm being too harsh and it's not applicable in this case, or do you think that it's just a misunderstanding of how transfers operate and could never be a valid criticism?

Ok I just clicked the link and it went to the atlantic website, didn't know he copy/pasted it but i'll read it when i get a chance.
Maybe don't click the link because that will obviously take you to the website.
Instead, maybe just expand the stuff he pasted above that.

But hey, that and all the other fog you're spewing is aside from the fact that you said if it was the case that we'd stepped up early to beat competition from Utd and others, you'd come in here and give credit to Levy and the club.

I know it hurts mate but come on, you can do it. 😁

He was heavily linked to Liverpool at the time.

Dont know why that never happened, perhaps Chelsea just being Chelsea but I am sure he'd have done well under Klopp and that system.

It’s very rare that players who have dipped come back good.
But if we have half a salah or half a kdb….

I also think upgrades, if not perfect replacements, on Gil and others can only be a good thing. The squad is improved and we’ve done it in a smart way. It could be brilliant it could be average. But it makes sense

They lost out on a few players to Chelsea. Will be very interesting too see if he works out in our system.

Don't usually bother with YouTube highlight videos, but really liked how comfortable he is with both feet.

Just got a weird feeling about this one, like he's going to catch light. It's in there somewhere and those Covid times and Chelsea striker curse just completely buried what you can see in that 100 goal video. Few players put together a reel like that and then are just shite for no reason. Just hope that Ange can find it and bring it back, because that Leipzig Werner starts for this Tottenham. If we can give him enough chances to get on a bit of a run, then he might have the confidence to take the types of goals he demonstrably has in him.
