Ndombele + Italian food = disaster
Pasta very good for footballers/cyclists/athletes but you do need to run around a lot to use up the calories so could be a problem for Tanguy :) :)

pasta makes an excellent meal for athletes, particularly those engaged in endurance sports. Why? Simply because pasta is rich in complex carbohydrates and these carbs are the first source of energy used by our muscles.

Sweet lord, that's some great news. Can't wait to see the back of him (cue jokes about the size of his arse)! Just Winks and Reggie to go now... then hopefully we can bring some more in to improve the first XI... I know, I'm expecting far too much.
Yeah just hope we get the CB, and tbh I really want another quality AM type.

Number of appearances and maybe top 4 finish sound like the most possible types of clauses.

Let’s hope he goes over there, starts in the team quickly and performs well enough to be seen as a vital cog in a lineup that will hopefully be doing well.

Otherwise, if he’s really not doing it he could end up marooned on the bench

Agreed. Although if we could ship out Emerson for a great RWB I'd be in heaven, though I'm resigned to the fact that we'll have to wait until next summer for that. In the meantime, a great CB to replace Davis and rotate with Dier would be great. Could really do with someone of Romero's quality. And as much as I'd love some creativity in CM, it just looks like Conte has other ideas. Seems obsessed with DMs.

All that said, I can't get carried away with the Tanguy news. I think he'll stink the joint out and be back here again next season. But even if that's the case, kicking that particular can down the road isn't the worst option right now.

Feel like the Italian league will suit him much better than the English or French. Hopefully he tears it up there.

Told the Napoli deal is about as good as we could hope for. Not sure on the details, but there are clauses that trigger an obligation. (y)

Not done yet but looks like it's happening.
Please disclose clauses that trigger obligation so when I light a candle at church and pray, I know what to pray for.

Good luck, Tanguy! Really hope this move works out for you and that you can express yourself in matches for Napoli at your very best.

I think £25m is a reasonable fee if he does a decent job for them.

Love these types of posts ❤️ . I hope he does really well and that he finds a way to get the most out of his undoubted ability.

I hope he does well there in order to facilitate a permanent move away from our club. Other than that i couldnt care less what happens to his career. Just my opinion.

That's fair. I just get tired of seeing the "fat jokes" etc every other post. Rather indifference than any level of vitriol.

Agreed. I think his ability is very much in doubt. It's one thing to do stepovers and other tricks, but it's another actually to be an effective player consistently and work for the team that's making you incredibly rich. The world is littered with players with good ball skills and fancy tricks. Professional football requires more than that. Throughout his career, Tanguy has proven that he doesn't have the most important skills. As long as we get shot, I'll be happy. Honestly couldn't care less what he does after that. The guy has received multi-generational wealth for doing bugger all in a sport that 99% of fans would give up an organ to be in a similar position.

You're conflating ability with effort/consistency. No one will argue with you that Tanguy is inconsistent and lacking in effort. But to say you doubt his ability is laughable. Anyway, not looking to start a dialog just found your post confusing.

Bad news.

No Rabiot to Utd, no Paredes to Juve, no Fabian Ruiz to PSG, no Ndombele to Napoli. Which means Ndombele stays at spurs!

You say what I said is laughable but pre-empt any attempt of a conversation by shutting it down. You don't know how forums work, mate. You're free to disagree, of course, but don't insult me and then try to avoid any comeback. Feel free to ignore.

Will do, good buddy!
