I like your thinking I really do. Trouble is Nuno (much like Poch) expects 100% in training day in day out, you don’t get your chance if someone behind you is showing more determination and passion. He can’t laze about during the week and then get picked.

I really hope he bucks up his ideas, he is one hell of a special player, still remember him tearingMan City a new one in the champs league the season before we got him, absolutely bossed city. We’ve seen glimpses of him, I hope Nuno/Paratici and the other coaching staff can turn him around.
Yes I get that and I agree. The problem is that he’s being paid a lot of money and he cost a massive fee that we’re probably still paying. Nuno will be put under a lot of pressure to get him out on the field and is unlikely to get the time to utilise his obviously excellent man management skills patiently. I’m saying another weapon in his armoury will be Ndombeles pride and having to perform in public in front of the Spurs faithful. I certainly don’t want him to get dogs abuse, the opposite in fact.

The fact that he has been left out of the side so far is pretty moot given that he wanted away. We’ll know how match fit / unfit he is and where he fits into Nuno’s plans shortly enough. I would expect him to be re-integrated immediately.

I expect him to be in the match day squad for Palace (especially given GLC’s absence), perhaps make a substitute appearance and to play against Rennes or, failing that, to make the team against Chelsea. Anything else would be a massive red flag.

Time now to put him in the squad for ECL and to play him from the bench in the PL. Now we have full stadia he won’t be able to perform at less than 100% for the whole time he’s on the pitch without the crowd getting on him. We’re the best supporters for getting behind our players when they’re putting maximum effort in but not shy of letting them know when we’re not happy! Great footballers thrive on the adulation of the fans. Hoddle and Berbatov, for instance, were not the most dynamic of runners but we certainly got behind them because we appreciated what they did for the team. Talent makes up for a lot .

Hmm some great revisionism there regarding Hoddle and Berbatov. I remember exactly how both were characterised at the time and it wasn’t as you’re making out at all…

At this point my only hope with Tanguy is that he sorts himself out now that the transfer window has closed and we get to move him next summer for a decent price with the European market hopefully being in better shape. Don't believe he'll ever fully turn it around with us, but I'd love to be proven wrong.

He's got himself in a bit of a pickle because by playing poorly, looking to have a poor attitude and being on huge wages, nobody wants him. Clubs can no longer afford to take a punt on someone like him.
Post pandemic theres no way we sign him on that money.
If he really wants to move he needs to pull his socks up and show the world what he can offer.
Everything tells me he's far more likely to just sit on his arse and stink the place out.

I would be happy if we could get him back to where he was in the end under Jose. It was the same thing last summer, he wanted to leave, the manager left him out and it looked like that was the end of the road. He did sort of turn it around under Jose though, and he can do it again. He still wasn't fullfilling his potential but he was Mourinho's preferred choice in the end and it was then very frustrating to see him dropped by Mason and now back to where we were. He is so frustrating in the way only massively talented players can be.

Is there any post-window ITK on what's going on with N'dombele? I always find it a shame when ITK info drys up after transfers finish.

i don’t know but some transfer windows are still open, if talks were not positive this week then I suppose we still have options to save massive wages

Can someone link me to where there were reports of him not training well or acting up under Nuno?

There hasnt been under Nuno. Issue has been he asked to leave this summer after Nuno asked the the players when he first arrived, who wants to be here and who doesnt, if you dont im not convicning you to stay, if you want to leave then fine, but you will not be part of my plans, hence why he has not been picked for any squad by Nuno at all, pre-season or the first 3 games. We have seen from all the training vids and pics from preseason to now, he has been there. the only report about him recently have been from one of ITK snippet i think from dragon(i think was him?) and Ally gold saying that now the window has closed, Nuno will see if he can work and re-integrate with him, to be picked for the squad.

Wait really? I was sure I must have missed something. You're telling me there's 1000+ new posts about his attitude, his fitness, his training, his desire - and none of that is based on new information, other than that he wanted to leave if he could move to Barcelona?

I'm a lot less worried if that's the case. Nuno will turn him around

Saw this on Twitter today. Can’t speak to Tanguy’s work ethic but he’s definitely not fat you weirdos.

I read some posts on here and have to wonder if these people ever actually saw him play.
He doesn't and hasn't ever, even under Jose, worked hard enough during a match. He starts at a canter and by 50mins is at a stroll.
The biggest travesty in all of this is those who scouted him. I can't believe he has only been like this since coming to us.
If he turns it round then great, theres no doubting he has talent, but from life experience in general as well as football I've never seen a lazy fk suddenly start putting a shift in.

Now we have Skipp at the base of midfield I would like to see Tanguy given a shot alongside PEH.
Get Dele to run himself into the ground for 60-70 minutes then bring on Ndombele to see what he can do against tired legs.

If he's still unable to affect the game in those circumstances then there's not much else we can do with him.

Yup. Totally agree with this.

If he can't handle 20/30 minutes after the rest of the side have worked the opposition down, then seriously, he can go F himself.

Obviously he isn't match fit (look at Kane vs Watford) but there's no evidence to suggest that he isn't fit.

Nuno hasn't said anything about his fitness, he only referenced his lack of commitment when the window was open.

He's in the squad now, so hopefully we can get him motoring. Nuno seems quite tough on discipline and commitment, but crucially he seems fair minded. There will be games were it'll be useful to have him available so hopefully we can get a tune out of him.
