Are you getting enjoyment and entertainment confused?
I’ve watched us lose before and been entertained. Never have I watched us lose and felt “enjoyment”.
So either your "enjoyment"can only be measured at the final whistle or you do not enjoy being entertained... :cautious:

Had enough of the idiot. Defended him enough, and I was excited when we bought him. A damn rotten egg
Well he’s with us until January at the least so let’s hope he buckles down and give us his best now that the window is shut.

We badly need a player of his quality in games we are struggling to progress the ball and/or break opponents down — a role it seemed we were hunting Adama for.

I’ll be backing him.

Thank you Herc! Send him and Aurier to the under 21s, they belong to the kindergarten. Hope i never see Ndombele in a Spurs shirt again ( Ndombele Cult disslikes incoming)

He must be the worst transfer for money to output ever by any club

After the Arse loss last season I was buzzing from the rabona and wanted to kill myself. I should probably just take up knitting.

Is that a question? Or a statement?

My point, which still stands, attempted to highlight a run of 3 wins (without conceding) was something to be pleased about. Something which we as fans should commend, not complain about.

There was plenty of complaining last season to last a life time.

To summarise; I take enjoyment out of watching my team win football matches.

+ve result > performance

Of course I enjoy us winning games! but the problem with not enjoying the football you are watching is eventually when the wins stop and the football isn't giving you enjoyment then the pressure soon ramps up.

I just feel we haven't addressed our weaknesses and we will see the same trouble creating chances.

And the most enjoyable performance by far so far was the EC second leg.

Did you not watch the city game? OK it wasn’t swashbuckling attacking football.

But seeing Tanganga pocket Sterling 1v1, PEH the Viking crashing into tackles, Skippy with his crafty interceptions, Son scaring the life out of Ake…all on top of a win was far more enjoyable then scoring 3 goals against cannon fodder from the portugese league.

I guess we’ll leave it there. Chalk this down to “agree to disagree”.

I enjoyed that game immensely. Mainly due to the fight and aggression we showed in closing them down

Then the games where we were favourites came and that aggressive game changed to stale possession play.

He’s been an asshole (allegedly) but he’s still our asshole. Hope he can knuckle down and Nuno can show some faith and get him motivated to play. He’s exactly what we need if he’s playing to his ability. Time will tell…

On day one you said you were excited when we bought him, had defended him enough and had enough of the idiot?

You really went through the motions that day.
Rated him as a player but from very early on I said his attitude stank whilst many kept defending him.

So it has proved.

Anyway it’s pointless now as he’s staying for now so let’s hope for the best as we will need him.

The thing that frustrates me the most about Ndombele is that he's exactly the kind of player Arsene Wenger would've signed and we would've laughed at their fans for expecting him to come good. As Troy Deeney said "no cojones".

Unfortunately with our failure to do anything with our CM during the transfer window, rehabilitating this guy into a productive member of the squad has become one of the most important things we can do.

Skipp, PEH and Dele isn't a top four midfield. We need better quality and technical ability in the middle of the park. So it's either GLC or Tanguy.

Take it as you will, but the game is about enjoyment for me and if I can only take a bit of enjoyment when the full-time whistle blows then eventually there will be no enjoyment...

Edit
I'll qualify this for the hard of understanding.

If you don't enjoy the football you are watching and only get enjoyment from the points then eventually we will lose or draw, thus taking away your only enjoyment.

I agree with you. I really take no pleasure in playing like shit, in mourinho-ball, and scraping flukey or ultra desperate anti football defensive one-nils. It’s ok now and then but when people are gloating and celebrating getting absolutely schooled by other teams but coming away with a win, I don’t feel happy at all if it reflects the pattern of play of the team in general. I lost interest in football under avb and mourinho and was fuckingggg happy when we got spanked 6-0 Etc successively because we deserved it and it was the absolute best thing for the club as it meant getting rid of the millstone around our necks who would otherwise have continued to destroy us over a far longer period. There’s not really such a thing as a bad supporter but people who get on your case for seeing the bigger picture over 3 points might take a look at themselves Imo. Not directed at anyone here but.. at other times..

His skillset is so frustratingly perfect for our midfield in this system.

You have to believe he won't want to waste a season of his career.

Annoyingly we've got previous experience to know how long the process to get him engaged and up to speed takes. Not to mention convincing Nuno that he deserves a chance.

All things considered I can imagine not seeing him in the Prem in any capacity until November/December. Maybe a couple of Cup cameos.
