Great to see Ndombele running and pressing for 90 minutes. Such a contrast to what we got the first season. Completely different player right now...able to get on the ball and use the unbelievable talent he has a lot more often. Looks far happier as well.

Jose has managed him pretty well, seeing as there was accusations of Jose bullying him when he called him out which was hilarious, the fact that he's got him putting in a shift should be looked as good management.

Did anyone else spot that it looked like Tanguy thought he was being subbed for Winks, as he had taken off his gloves ready to walk off and was then frantically trying to put them back on when he realised he was not being subbed, also seemed to give him a boost in motivation / second wind and he closed out game looking v strong

His potential is frightening. It's really down to him now with regards his motivation and physical conditioning. He could become one of the best midfielders in the world.

I can't recall who he played the pass to early in the first half, but it was from within our own half close to the circle and he broke a full defensive line with one ball from deep. That ball got me more excited than the Son ball, and that was a worldie too. He just knows how to thread a pass.

Agree, but one thing is for sure; he has a very low pain threshold. When he went down, he was waving for the medics to come on and for a moment I thought he was hurt badly. And he's done the same on a few other occasions.

Can be bloody painful being clipped in the back of the ankle like he was. I bet he comes out of most matches with plenty of lumps and bumps and I don't blame him for drawing attention to bad tackles.

He looks so lean at the moment, completely different physique to when he joined.

The way he turns and the disguised passes he plays are truly incredible, it still makes me laugh the way certain pundits describe him. If Pogba or De Bruyne did some of the things he does we would not hear the end of it (not to say they couldn't).

If we find the right player on the right hand side of attack that front four could rival any in world football.

The Pogba comparisons are lazy stereotyping. He's so much better.

Don't think anyone has compared him to Pogba?

If you are referring to my post above, I am not comparing him to Pogba or De Bruyne. Just highlighting the fact that the things he does are incredible and if other midfielders in the league did them, the pundits would be going crazy over it. Could probably add Grealish and Fernandes to the list also.

Sorry not addressed at you, every time there's a mention of Ndombele on social media there are comparisons to Pogba! Agree with the point you are making, think he's under-appreciated by pundits/other fans generally, probably as a result of his up and down first seasons and Mourinho's comments about his fitness.

Ah no problem, get what you mean. Completely agree with you about him being much better by the way. ?

The thing i really like about his passing which i'll definitely fail to articulate here is the way he plays the ball with such attacking intent. Numerous times he's drilled in a short, accurate pass 'round the corner' to one of our attackers, when seemingly heading out towards one of the flanks. It's genius and it instantly alters the dynamic to one of potential danger for the oppo. Love it.

Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

His short, snap like passes which are well hidden under some good body movement is incredible.

He also tends to keep the ball on the ground. It's easy to underestimate the importance of this, but it gets the ball to it's destination quicker and also makes it much harder for the opposition to track where it's actually going because line of sight is often interrupted. Passes up in the air are easier to get positioned for and usually harder for the recipient to get under control. Also the weight of his passes is usually spot on.

The thing I'm most impressed about is how everything seems so effortless for him.

He just has that special thing about him, similar to Dembele albeit in a slightly different mold.

In a couple years he could be a folk legend here if he continues to perform and get better.

He is a joy to watch. The way he sees space he's football IQ is amazing if Dele can be inspired and gain Jose trust that link up with The New Ndombele is what football is all about.

Needs to work on that body language.

Not sure if it's all just part of his game to look shattered and fed-up then turn the whole opposition's midfield inside out or if that's just his general demeanour.

Such a strange, but talented boy. Going to be a very interesting rest of the season now Jose's given him a full 95.
