Cor GFFN are properly upset about this transfer, aren't they?
About a week ago I heard Jullien Lauren on H&J saying how we wouldn’t sign Ndombele because we didn’t have the money.

People in France appear to have slept through our ascent to the top table so are begrudging of any top French players coming to Spurs. This despite being captained to World Cup success by our captain.

United are always included for click bait on 9 out of every 10 articles. Unless they plan on paying him £400k a week to go to that shithole this just reads like bitter opinion

That Hytner article is probably a reiteration of the L'Equipe article, we just can't see it because it's behind a paywall.

That GFFN piece that twists the L'Equipe article reads like a bitter Arsenal fan finding out their rival is signing a world beater.

Reports say Levy will negotiate final terms with Ndombeles team "in the coming hours" if agreed, could we perhaps have both Clarke and Ndombele announced tomorrow?

I'll be worried if this isn't done by end of play tomorrow
Clarke had his medical on Wednesday, and it still hasn't been announced. Definitely no need to worry if it's not announced tomorrow.

If we're in this position next week, however...

Does someone have L'Equipe subscription? I want to see what is Hugo part and what is GFFN part :D
I got you:

Tanguy Ndombele is not one to panic. From his place of vacation, the middle of the OL, left to visit the installations of Tottenham after the training course in team of France, let the negotiations advance. And they are evolving at a good pace. Started several weeks ago, the discussions between Lyon and Tottenham have even ended this weekend. English sources, Jean-Michel Aulas and Daniel Levy, the two presidents, agreed on a fixed amount of € 62 million, with some € 10 million in bonuses, which can be reached because they depend in particular on qualifications in the Champions League.

"JMA", symbolically, wanted to pass the milestone of 60 M € fixed. The OL boss has achieved his goals. In this operation, Lyon, which had bought Ndombele in Amiens for 8 M € (plus 20% of capital gain on resale) two years ago, would recover some 61 M €. The club Picard touching him about 11 M €. Does this agreement between the two bosses automatically make the former Guingampais (22 years old) a Spurs player? Not quite.
Several upcoming meetings
Ndombele is convinced of the Tottenham project and the ability of Mauricio Pochettino, a coach with whom the feeling has passed very quickly, to make him progress in areas where he still needs to improve (volume of races for example). But if the outlines of a long-term contract have been drawn for several weeks, there are still elements to negotiate. This will be done in the next few hours. Several meetings must take place. This type of negotiation on such long and consistent contracts may take a little time.
To see Ndombele land at the Spurs in the week is however not a hypothesis to dismiss. Unless by then, one of the clubs on the lookout will resurface. It will not be the Paris-SG, nor a priori Juventus Turin, which, if it keeps in touch, has withdrawn for a few hours and the arrival of Adrien Rabiot . The eventual surprise could in fact arise from Manchester United. But the Mancunian club still seems stuck by the Pogba case. With this agreement, for Tottenham, the way seems open. Now, we must conclude.

I've just seen GFFN have done their own translation of the article:

Tanguy Ndombele will be moving to Manchester United, as per L'Equipe.

Tanguy Ndombele has not yet agreed personal terms because he hates Tottenham and it is his dream to sign for a big club.

I feel like it’s pretty common for continental journalists to take swipes at us when we make big signings. We just don’t have the reputation with some.

Oh well, whatever. It’s just noise and opinion.

Does that **** get paid to be that much of a bitch as a 'journo'?

The fuck has the world come to?

FML.

Nah, doubt he gets paid anything. Maybe a tenner per poorly-written opinion piece. Just some jumped up little **** out of uni thinking he’s going to be in any way relevant in the football media world.

They're a FRanch source rehash-er and translator. They rarely get their own info.

They don't get own info, sometimes have exclusive interview with French journalists. But now they added some biased tweets about these move :D

Looking at the twatter feed he was going to take a break from writing 6 days ago, good stuff for him I suppose.

Let's spend weeks negotiating a deal that breaks our transfer record before finding out if the player will join erm....

"Hi Tanguy we have come to an agreement with your club, do you fancy joining us?"

Tanguy: "No I'm waiting for a Manchester Utd surprise"
