Just had a 3 hour drive and I swear, for the last hour of the drive I kept thinking.... “shall I pull over and see if there has been ITK on this lad or any of the others I’m excited about?”

I decided not to on the basis, the longer I wait the more chance there is that there will be news when I get home.

Just got home and logged on..... very disappointed!

This process will be my summer!

If all of the big clubs were after then yeah, we'd have no chance. But if it's just between us and Juve and/or PSG then it could well to come down to what each club offers him and his personal preferences.

Juve don't have a manager and are already stacked with midfielders, while PSG are limited by FFP and probably can't splurge on multiple players. We likely wouldn't offer the highest wages but with Poch, the stadium, the training ground, the charms of London and our recent CL run, we're more attractive than we've ever been before. He still might turn his nose up at us but I wouldn't write us off just yet.
And don’t underestimate the pull of the PL, by far the biggest league in the world. Having the 4 European finalists only adds to this

View attachment 50306 View attachment 50307 Stats for Ndombele compared to Dembele last season

Think what we're hoping for is the Dembele of 2013-2017. But, Ndombele's stats are so impressive. And, while some players can throw up nice stats but fail to really constantly impress, Ndombele does both. He'd completely transform our play, in my opinion. Similar to the difference when Winks plays when he does not (But with much more direct impact on the match, should his play translate to the EPL).

I'm a bit slow so if I knew this before I must have forgotten but this kid is only 22 almost a year younger than Harry Winks and Dele Alli, Christ he's still at least five years off his best.

It’s not, if Aulas uses it to raise his price. :(
We really should pay almost whatever they want for him, obviously within reason. I think he's that good. Him and someone like Diawara would make a phenomenal midfield 3 alongside winks or sissoko. Get in a RB and see what else we need after that and we're looking decent imo

1. I was sure he'd be maybe 25-26, so that's a very big plus - to get someone apparently so good at such a young age means he has a lot of potential to improve.

2. I'm reminded of Pochettino's comments about how good he believes Dembele could have been had they been able to work together from a young age. Not necessarily saying Ndombele could necessarily become that good, because who can say that? But surely any player their age has to consider the long-term when making a move.

I think we all know where this is currently thanks to the Lyon way of selling their best players through the media. Hopefully it falls our way but if it doesn’t, the good thing is it’s happening so early so we can move forward to another player if required.

PSG desperately need almost an entirely new defense in order to compete at the level they aspire to be. So naturally their star player is going to kick up a fuss for them to sign a midfielder they could use but doesn't solve one of their most glaring issues and block us in the process.

It’s a shit league if you’re a player as good as Mbappe. He’d Be better off moving to La Liga or Premier League but made his bed by signing that ridiculous contract with PSG. He’s stuck, no one can afford him.
