Yeah, this is my stance on the situation. If Ange is hired and thinks Tanguy can be a player he can rely on, I'm all for it.

Don't agree. He has had so many chances already and fucked them up. Why reward failure? The history is too much for me and would rather let an academy player take his place.

Nabi Keita signed for Liverpool for 50m about 4 yrs ago. Hasn’t played much, often injured and can’t get a game. Will walk away on a Bosman .
who cares, never hear anybody slagging him off or Liverpool getting criticised for buying him.
but then nobody criticises Liverpool or Klopp.
if we get a bid anywhere near 15m they have to take it. Just move him on.
that’s because they’ve been brilliant during that period, whereas we haven’t

let’s see how they address their weaknesses in the summer, and how we address ours

Give him another loan, paying as much of his wage as it takes, and move on

Exactly. He’s not going to suddenly come good. We all know what we are getting now. The new manager demands intensity and fitness. Neither of those are him.

Thing is he won over Jose in the end. It’s just we know the sort of players Conte likes and he was never going to be it. He was actually a key part of Jose’s midfield; often topping distance stats then got binned off for winks by Mason. Would be willing to give him a chance as the most advanced player in the three but we have to view him not as a box to box. Honestly every CM of Francophone African origin people think should be some combination of some bits of Yaya and Makelele.

I've literally left in the hands of the incoming manager to decide what happens with Tanguy - I'm not rewarding failure, I'm simply placing my trust in the new manager to decide on which players he feels he can rely on going into the new season.

If it happens that Tanguy, GLC, Reguillon, Rodon etc all convince Ange ( or whoever the new manager is ) that they are the type of players that can deliver what the new manager asks of them, then they'll get my support.

Let whoever the manager is decide. But unless his attitude wrt working his ass off on the pitch changes between now & pre season, I highly doubt he’ll play another minute with us. Tanguy oozes talent but his work ethic is shocking at best.

From everything we’ve heard about Postecoglou he demands players run their arse off. Unless Tanguy has some kind of Damascene conversion and is now gonna work hard and run all game I can’t see him being wanted.

Like you say he oozes skill and talent, if anyone could unlock that they’d have some player. Can’t see him ever sorting his attitude out though.

I recently brought up the subject of Keita with a Liverpool mate. The difference is and why nobody criticises Klopp about Keita is because during the period he's been around Liverpool have won plenty of trophies. Keita started the FA cup and League Cup finals they won against Chelsea. He played in the Club World Cup which they won. Etc etc. So it doesn't really compare when Keita has been a key squad player through a sustained period of success. Ndombele on the other hand...

Exactly being unfit and lazy is different to injured

Not sure that's how it works. Backing the new manager means everyone gets a clean slate. Ange gets to make the call based on what he sees from July 1st.

He seems to be great in training as others have said though failed to live upto expectations far too many times. Just can't see him changing his ways.
Agree Ange makes the call though I would be happy we got rid of him before!

I wonder if he could play on the right of a front 3? He's so skillful on the ball and he can pick a pass, but he's not rounded enough to dominate in the middle of the pitch either as a CM or an ACM. But maybe he could put his dribbling skills to use as a right sided attacker.

He can’t play for longer than 20 minutes at full pelt so no. We just need him off the books. No more chances, he doesn’t deserve them.

"It didn't matter if you were the biggest player in the dressing room or the youngest - if you weren't pulling your weight or following his principles, he was very ruthless."

"There's zero tolerance for players that don't want to follow. We were never made to feel comfortable, we were always pushing to be better, always developing, always working harder than any group I've experienced before.

So says former Brisbane captain

Lets hope that puts that to bed.

Think we would be bonkers not to give him a chance IF Ange wants him and IF he really wants to play for us. 30 games for Napoli in a title winning squad.

Liverpool have been pretty successful with Keita on the periphery, and he's played in a lot of big games that they've won (finals etc).

We've been on a largely continuous downward trend in the time Ndombele has been here, desparately clamouring for a solution, so there is inevitably more focus from us on why cant we get a tune out of our massive signings.

Keita was also never dumped out on loan, deemed so irrelevant to the squad that Klopp would rather just send him away.
Why didn’t they sign him up again then.
