He has no value at the moment. Given his wages (I estimate over 40k/week) few clubs can afford that, let alone pay a fee for it.
Its a similar situation to Torres back in the day. No one was willing to both pay high wages and a transfer fee for a proven failure.

Our only option is really to hope that a former club e.g. Valencia is willing to take him on at much lower wages.
But a player is unlikely to agree to getting paid less unless his contract is near its end. Which means playing him and hoping he comes good is really our only viable option.
Was about to give that an Agree until the last sentence, because I'm on board with everything else you're saying. But I genuinely think we'd be better off paying hos contract up in full and cancelling his deal if it came to that rather than paying the same amount to have him waste a spot in our squad or even, God forbid, in our team.

I wouldn't. But someone will, I bet. Remember, he was good once. And Levy doing the negotiations....trust me, crap as he is, he ain't worthless.

Lets agree to disagree. I can't fathom how anyone would pay 10m + high wages for a proven failure.

He isn't worthless. The trouble is wages and fees together = double wammy. We are basically holding on an asset with -ve equity.

I can't stand posers who bang on about getting rid at the club's expense.
Before you make a post along the lines of 'lets sell him for dirt cheap' / 'subsidize his wages' etc please think before you write. Getting rid at a loss is bad for a club, not good.
Haha, sorry! But I'm not posing and I think that. I'd love it if we could find a mug to take him off our hands, but I genuinely think we'd be no worse off giving him a free transfer than we'd be keeping him off for the same cost.

Exactly, no point in playing a player that has no value to preserve in the first place.

I haven't seen the amtch so i dont know how bad his miss-ed pass was. It's not the first time and its unlikely to be the last. He's just abit like Torress back in the day. However what you proposed is basically a poison pill. I wouldn't do that until there really is no hope...maybe if i saw the miss i would be equally hopeless, who knows.

Someone, well Levy, will have to hold up his hand and for once admit Soldado was a mighty fuck up and just write it off this once as an expensive mistake and let us move on... He might also take the blame for the Lamela fuck up as well while he up there.

That surely was the final nail in Bob's coffin tonight.

Oh dear, it just been one spectacular fail after another. I liked him, have felt sorry for him but this can't continue.

If Poch won't use Adebayor, he should be looking at some youngsters or trying Chadli there. In truth its long overdue.

We cannot keep playing Soldado and he keeps messing up chances like the one of tonight, the guy has to go in the summer transfers.

Just hard to get your head round the best part of 60mill for at the time a high class striker and one of the hottest young prospects in Europe and they pull on the famous shirt and turn toilet. Only Spurs :-(

You can add another 20m for Paulinho.
If only Levy met AVB demands and we got Moutinho and James Rodriquez

I just watched the replay... Wow... This is it. I can't even pretend to defend him any longer.

Well, there is also Paulinho from that summer. And Capoue & Vlad on bit cheaper range.

I can't believe the Lamela thread has over 500 pages on him, whilst this guy has only 222.

Time to move him on in the summer.
