This guy has been a really dreadful signing I have to be honest. Slightly above average when he’s been fit, which has been hardly ever. I’d honestly sell him for 5m like someone else suggested. He’s not up to the top level
What is the difference between this and a series of loans until the end of his contract?

You don’t really think these clubs are paying all his wages do you? Get rid for 5m and save on his wages, he’s next to useless to us, he’s a terrible defender. Sanchez gets all the stick but this guy is a much worse defender

No, nor do I think that a player on a contract is going to willingly abandon that contract because its convenient for THFC. The headlines on any deal doubtless cover a multitude of other agreements.

Loan with the option is fine. Problem is, most of our guys who have gone out on loan with the option haven’t impressed while on loan and the team doesn’t want to trigger it.

As long as people keep loaning him it's sort of OK.

3 x 5m loans is not obviously worse than 15m fee

I realise the maths probably won't work like that, but the loan system is not all bad
