I would be surprised if that were true.
Really?
What if there was an injury crisis?
You also have to manage the value of these assets until the next window
I can’t see DL being happy with a group of 4 players on big money training alone for the whole season

Nah. We literally won't have enough squad places to accommodate all of them.
That’s not what we are discussing though. This is about being involved with the squad at training.
They clearly won’t be selected for match day squads - and I’d imagine they’d be informed that they face not being registered for competitions.

Why would Conte want any players training with him who have zero chance of playing? It would be a waste of his/staff time and resources.

Well basically, yes.
conte doesn’t want them around
He wants them to leave.
but they have 2+ years on their contracts so they can justifiably stay.
Not sure anyone wants them hanging around that lot but they could do it if they wanted to

You do not want players around at training or in the locker who could disrupt the team building by maybe talking shit and being unhappy or even worse making careless challenges in training games. You want a positive atmosphere all around.

I think as a footballer id appreciate knowing where i stand. Obviously they may not want to leave the club but at least you know your future is elsewhere.

It sucks because of the 4 Reggie is the only one I'd rather go out on loan. I'd rather buy out GLC and TN's contracts like we did with Aurier than see them possibly come back again next summer. As for Winks well he just needs a move for the good of his career.

Which is ironic because by all accounts winks did that during Jose’s reign- and he’s still here!!

Let’s figure out why perhaps?

Whatever happened to him ? When he 1st joined he looked like he was going to be a top player for us . Very quick strong in the tackle . Was superb for Seville helping them win europa league trophies. All the top pundits said . What a player we had on our hands !

I guess niggling injuries and lack of product in the final third , set the tone for his downfall .

very surprised that a few premier league teams have not come In for him. Suited more to a full back as opposed to a wing back . He has done more and enough in England to suggest he could still be a decent player for more than a handful of clubs in this country .

not sure of the price we would want probably around 20-25m but when you consider how much Chelsea paid for the Brighton left back . Would surely be worth a gamble for a lot of teams

The problem is there aren’t any clubs playing in Europe who are in the market for a lb
City- apparently not
Liverpool- Robertson
Chelsea- chilwell and cucurella (but play wingbacks anyway)
Arsenal- tierney and zinchenko
West Ham- cresswell
Man United- shaw and malacia
Leicester- Castagne (also no money)
Newcastle- just signed targett

so Brighton is the next team with a gap in their squad for a lb.

And teams in Europe don’t seem to have much money (or are equally stacked in that position).

Reggy is a very good left back — he’s just not well suited to be a LWB in Conte’s system.

He’ll do great playing in a 4back side.

I just think there is more to the so-called unsuitability of playing as a LWB that he has to leave. And much more than breaking the lockdown protocol too. Don't think we will ever know until someone revealed it after he left.

Brighton are in talks with Villarreal over left-back Pervis Estupiñán.

So that's another club potentially off the list for Reguilon.

Are we going to be unable to shift him? Or maybe Villareal will come in for him.
