Im a fan of Aurier and he has cut out most of his brain farts. The issue in selling him is he is our best right back offensively atleast. I can see why he wants to leave and see why we want to sell him but Doherty is also someone id let go and spend big on a right back i.e. the Japanese lad.

Get mendes to move Doherty on and of need be let aurier run his deal down.

He is twice the player Doherty is
While I agree, i am not sure it is how we work.

Aurier has 1 year left, so he is more important to get money for, even though he is better than doherty.

Not sure how long doherty has left.

That wont happen. He is too old for that now

From Ali Gold on YouTube:

“There seems to be a belief from Aurier and I’m told his agent as well that they have something ready for him.

“I just hope it’s not going to be a last-minute, ‘here’s my bid for Aurier, you’ve got to take it now otherwise you’ll have nothing’.”

I actually like Aurier and he has defo improved since joining us especially in terms of eradicating his recklessness ... however if he is complicit with this tactic mentioned by AG, i'd ostracise him to the youth teams for training, take away 1st privileges, his locker spot etc .... and literally banish him from anything related to the reserves let alone the 1st team .... however i dont feel he himself would be complicit to this (i hope)

That is very specific from Ali.

If this is true, surely the club also know this, as Ali is our mouthpiece.

If we do know, how we react to this is important.

Do we just sign Tomiyasu anyway, if we expect a late offer for Aurier?

Apologies if this is confusing.

Aurier pretty much said on instagram he won't go to Lille

Did he say that? Maybe the translation I saw was wrong, but it was pretty ambiguous. It could easily just mean that even if he goes to Lille, he'll always have Lens in his heart.

Everton want a right back. Surely that would be a good club for him?

He made it clear, even when he was first choice RB, that he had no interest of extending his deal with Spurs. Would think that is because he has a plan to move to a different country, maybe home to France?

Lets see if Everton would be interested in Doherty. Wouldnt mind selling both of Aurier and Doherty over the next couple of days, even if we fail to get a replacement in.

This. But would sell Doherty over Aurier in a heartbeat. And Doherty looks like a fitting player at Everton.

It's pretty insane to me that there is seemingly only one club in Europe that is interested in him (Lille). He's a solid RB that would be an upgrade for lots of teams, at least I would think so.

He's probably too expensive for most of them, I guess.

Could be salary? Could be because a lot of teams don't need a RB?
