There’s very little about Sessegnon that is ‘blatantly a winger’. Whilst quick, he’s hardly rapid, and isn’t going to beat a man with a piece of trickery either.Sessegnon, the outright left winger who played in that position for the past 2 years cos he’s blatantly a winger... now possibly playing as a full back, in a spurs team that already leaked goals from the full back positions last year. Hmmmmm!
I get the same impression. While he's a far more accomplished finisher and intelligent crosser than Rose, he reminds me of him in the sense that I wouldn't trust him to be a first choice AM/WF at Spurs. Not yet anyway. However, if we play him at full back/wing back he could be a real asset to us going forward. There’s very little about Sessegnon that is ‘blatantly a winger’. What attributes he does have lend themselves well to either attacking midfield (spatial awareness, game intelligence and positioning) or the modern full back (neat touch, ability to get up and down and crossing ability). Whilst he has played more in attacking positions at senior level (although it’s still only about 60-40), long-term he should definitely be moulded into a left back. It’s undoubtedly the position where he has the highest peak, and there aren’t many managers out there better suited to develop him into the role than Pochettino.
He wouldn't be there anyway, he's still injured from the Euro U21s where he did his hammy. If our intentions is to play him as a left back, really disappointing we haven't brought him in on time for the pre-season tour - we're haven't got a single natural left back in our travelling squad.

Was gonna say he is injured but someone already said that hence we are in no rush. I would love to sign him up for this upcoming season and the futureIf our intentions is to play him as a left back, really disappointing we haven't brought him in on time for the pre-season tour - we're haven't got a single natural left back in our travelling squad.
Davies still recovering from groin surgery and Sess with a hammy injury. Super jan at LB
Sessegnon is what I would call an "Intelligent footballer", or you could just call it natural instinct. Some players just know which places on the pitch to occupy and which channels to run in to. Dele and Kane both have that natural trait. You can learn to become a better defender, a better passer and a better dribbler and so forth but you can't really teach that pure footballing intelligence. Therefore I'm not too concerned wether Sessegnon ends up being a full back or a winger. He may not become world class but I'm quite certain he'll become a very good PL player.
