He’s fine. Just really rusty. And he probably has a little psychological barrier to break through, following the Matty Bash ‘sweep the leg, Jonny’ tackle. Weirdly, I think that did more harm to his psyche than his long term injury, as he looks tentative. Got a touch of the ‘Sessegnon’s’ going on. Which will pass as he gets match sharp and 100% trusts his body… and when he watches Cuti kick Cash so hard he goes bankrupt.

(I’ll grab my coat! 🤪)
I second this. I think he is positive and mature enough to get over this.

I think all that's been highlighted ATM is that with a midfield of a half fit Maddison and PEH with Bentancur it all looks a bit stodgy.

When the running power around Bentancur is better (with Sarr and Biss back) when everyone is fully match fit(chuck in Gio to that as well) we'll then see which players work best in the system and what combos of the others can work well, that we have seen work very effectively with Sarr, Maddison and Biss.

I've got a theory that whilst all the players are a little rusty the reason Sarr seems to be working better than Bentancur at the moment is because he's demanding the ball less and is more content being an off the ball player whereas Bentancur wants to get on the ball and that is slowing the play down somewhat when we need to attack faster.

Both Maddison and Bentancur wants to get on the ball and dictate play but I think their rhythm isn't aligned and they are getting in each others way. Whereas Sarr is a really good play to run off either one of them and is content in that capacity.

which makes benta better in the 6 spot. Before Cash tried to amputate his legs, he was playing that role against Villa and was tearing them to pieces.

Crazy to think it's February and Ange finally has all of Bentancur, Bissouma, Sarr and Maddison to select from for the first time. Not to mention GLC back by the looks of it.

That is a bit bonkers. Would be incredible if Ange could have a spell with a fully fit squad, all chomping at the bit for game time.

He trained with the group today so by that he could be available for the weekend

Just saw him in the video released by Spurs. He also was in a "winning team" photo posted by Maddison on IG

I'm sure our in game management/seeing a game out will be much better with Lo Celso and who ever didn't start between Bissouma, Bentancur and Sarr coming off the bench.

Gotta feel a bit sorry for Dragusin (yeah I’ll join you over Bayern. You have no fit CB’s, I’ll get plenty of game time!) and Hojbjerg (yeah I’ll stay til summer. You have no fit CM’s and the others are away, I’ll get plenty of game time!).

You've been a spurs fan long enough that you should know after Brighton we'll probably be down to bare bones again.

Romero stubbing his toe getting out of bed too aggressively and Mickey with 3rd degree burns from breaking the sound barrier.

Dragusin is only 21 and settling in. He knows there will be plenty of opportunities going forward. Bayern will not be without their first choice options long anyway.

Hojbjerg wasnt sold because nobody could afford him. Otherwise he would have left. He didn't stick around thinking he would win his place.

If/when that is the case then Ange still brings on Dragosin and goes three at the back it will start to look like he has been promised/guaranteed minutes...

At the moment it can be justified as the CM options to get us up the pitch under pressure not being there.

If the only reason he is bringing him on is because he was guaranteed minutes, surely he would be taking off Romero or VdV or Udogie (and putting VdV LB)?

I don't believe Ange would be changing the shape just to give him minutes and I don't think it is a coincidence that in all 3 of Dragusin's apps, we had no other CMs or DMs left on the bench and our CM and or DM coming off has looked exhausted.
