He didn't look comfortable on the left in all honesty. He also gets pulled out of position a fair bit. He needs time but no doubt we need VdV. He's our MVP at the back. We need Davies to cover left and Dragusin right.

I agree - I'd start with Davies against Luton if Mick isn't fit.

that’s not going to happen though is it. If we’ve learned anything about Ange over the course of this first season is that he doesn’t throw his players under the bus at the first opportunity. Dragusin has been signed as a long term solution, he needs and deserves a run of games in let’s face it another season of nothingness. If we qualify for CL or EL I don’t think makes much of a difference in on our long term strategy so let’s give him a run of games and see what he’s got in his locker rather than turn back to gentle Ben and all his averageness (meant in not a derogatory way)

Not concerned at all but do feel bad for Davies and Emerson who have been quality at CB this season. But the kid needs to learn I suppose.

Not selecting a player is not throwing them under the bus. We're playing 1 game a week, so the manager needs to pick the first XI that he believes can best execute his game plan. If Davies is training well and up for selection, if Ange thinks he's the better option against Luton he should start.

As Ange mentioned in his presser yesterday, we're looking to bring in another defender this summer [presumably a LCB of similar profile to Micky]. Hopefully next season Radu will compete for the RCB spot with Romero and a new LCB will compete with Micky.

Totally disagree on that one, get Drag back out there and get him some game time against Luton, it’d be a confidence killer for him if he didn’t start coupled with the fact his game will probably suit the way Luton set up.

Luton has the potential to be a serious banana skin. The vast majority of their goals come from the wing, particularly Doughty who I think we should be looking at for next season. Whether it’s Dragusin or Davies, we’re going to seriously miss VDV’s recovery runs as no doubt Udogie and Porro (by no fault of their own) will be caught out.

Very good aerially. Needs to work on passing but it's never easy having a right footer player LCB. He would do better partnering VDV

Not a classic full debut, and positioning wasn’t great — but thought he was left in all kinds of trouble by the midfield. Too easy for Fulham to bypass Bissouma and then isolate the wider spaces with the full backs pushed up. He was always going to struggle.
Bissouma and Sarr are not as they were before AFCON in my opinion. Bents should have started ahead of one of them today. As for Radu, you cant judge a player on his 1st full start, especially if you expect him to be as rapid as VDV

They are strong out wide and Doughty has had a great season, don’t think he’d be any improvement on what we currently have though.
They are weaker through the middle with morris who is just a bit of a battering ram but Edwards has probably sounded out our FB’s as the area to attack and with Barclay doing his stuff our FB’s and midfield really need to bring their A game defensively.

Well well well. He's also struggling defensively and amazingly his 1st start also coincides with the worst defensive performance of the season.

It's 4,6 xG conceded in 150 minutes when Dragusin was at the pitch lol
yea 1st start, different country, different league. give the guy a break ffs

This is the thing, i have said before this season that we are are one man defense at times.
If it wasnt for VDV burst of speed to recover certain situations in games, we would have conceded a lot more. Just seems like Radu is getting heat just because he isnt as quick as VDV, and who is lets face it.
