I'm not in any way suggesting that all people wait 12 hours to comment on any rumour. I'm not even complaining about it. I was responding to somebody who said it's "very easy to be smart now" and making the point that it's pretty easy to be smart at the time as well. And that is in relation to the toxic posts that came out last night - not any reasonable ones. Maybe I should have been clearer about that.

People are going to have reactions to stuff, but I don't think that using "human nature" or "we've been here before" should be any excuse for somebody labeling Levy (or anybody) as a "cancer" in the club. We talk about episodes like that as meltdowns or people wetting the bed, which definitely aren't good things! Why not suggest that there is a more reasonable way to be a football fan once in a while?

Anyway, it's a storm in a tea cup. One person was talking in a pretty horrible way, a bunch of others were on the anti-Levy bandwagon, and the usual suspects were giving out the winner ratings. It's the standard toxic echo chamber that comes with a transfer window. I'm not losing any sleep over it and I doubt you are either. (y)

The other shit thing is they dont apologise or repent when they are wrong, as they have an anti Levy mindset they'll just be waiting for another chance to express the same.

Tbf the full quote isn't as bad as romano's cut quote

Edit - the quote for those without X

Florin Manea (Drăgușin's agent): "The decision was made this morning at 8 am. We were determined to go to Tottenham, but the offer came from Bayern, so we stopped. I was on my way to the airport. But I said we have to think carefully and evaluate. Bayern is one of the biggest clubs. I can't believe we turned Bayern down

But that's the decision. I took it with Radu and his family. I informed Bayern that this was the decision, that they came in the last meters and that it was difficult to change our decision. Maybe in the future we will get there. We are a bit mind-blown. To turn down Bayern... But it was ultimately what Radu and his family wanted. He is happy. We're going to Tottenham

Of course, Radu also thought about Bayern's offer. We made the decision in the morning. It's hard to make such a choice. Bayern strongly wanted him, but the official offer only came last night.

There was more money from Bayern , but he said that this is the right step for his career. We stayed up all night to think. I did not sleep at all. Both Napoli and AC Milan wanted him. But he dreamed of playing in the Premier League from a young age"

The full quote provides a little more context. He's still a bit too chatty for my liking, but it sounds more like they couldn't believe the level of interest and the calibre of the clubs whom his client was happy to say no to, rather than that he thinks Dragusin has made a mistake.

Maybe we could keep his agent busy selling Skywalk tickets, or promoting the cheeseroom, whenever it gets set up.

this has likely been mentioned by other people, but according to Transfermarkt, Dragusin has the same agency as Vicario. which is odd to me, given that Vicario's move was as spotless as we have seen whilst in this one, he has been running his mouth around throughout the whole process.

We don't know the fine details of this at all, the agent might just be saying it like that because not many people turn down Bayern but they're people of their word and overall Spurs will suit Dragusin better.

Watch the Transfer Window behind the scenes show and not all agents are bellends with no care in the world for their client, in this day and age if you don't put your client first they will find a different provider who will.
I probably was not very clear - I don't think the agent did anything wrong. I think the agent was doing what agents should be doing - finding opportunities for their clients.

My comments was simply that I think it was the agent who was pushing Bayern - not the player. Clearly someone from Dragusin's camp gave encouragement to Bayern that they stayed in contact, and made a not insubstantial bid for Dragusin. If the player had gone to the agent and said: "I really want to play for Bayern" - then when Bayern makes a bid, the player chooses Bayern.

Instead, I think the agent gets the bid from Bayern - and then presents both options to the player - who has chosen Spurs. If the player had asked for Bayern - there would not have been a decision to take.

I like it when a players wants to come to Spurs, rather than simply seeing it as the best available option for the moment. The way this transpired makes me think Dragusin wants to come to Spurs - whether for Ange, the PL, London, or whatever.

His agent is a bit mouthy yes, but he seems like exactly the type of character we want in our team.
Meh….in the end I’m sure he did what he saw was best for him. Had he chosen Bayern, his agent would have been saying something like Radu has dreamed of playing for Bayern since has was a child, blah, blah, blah. It’s easy to say you honored your word when after evaluating your decision, the promise you made coincides with a better situation for your career. He’s a young guy and had the choice between starting at Old Trafford on the weekend or sitting fourth in the pecking order and watching Hoffenheim on the bench. The really admirable thing about him is he made a thoughtful decision about his career and wasn’t swayed by the glamour of a move to Munich. Just my opinion.

Surprised we haven’t heard from his agent crowing to the media yet. That’s my biggest concern TBH, he sounds like an absolute nightmare and he’ll have no hesitation to stir things up if Radu isn’t getting the game time or the pay rise that the agent feels he deserves, or if he’s attracting interest from an elite club.

I genuinely think his antics would’ve been deeply off-putting for both Levy and Ange so it speaks volumes that we’ve still pulled out all the stops to get him.
If he's that much of a problem Dragusin will end up represented by Base within a couple of years, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

One more comment on the agent - Udogie's agent had been a bit mouthy in the press too.

Still a great signing, who has just extended at the club - even with a mouthy agent.

If the player finds a home here - the agent will pipe down.
