If we believe the player is of the elite-level standard required, then it is a false economy to spend a disproportionate amount of time and effort haggling over a ‘few bob’.

If we don’t think he’s worth what is a relatively small sum to pay for a player we aspire to be part of a trophy winning team, should we be signing him at all?

The important thing is that Ange has specifically asked for early incomings. Haggling over the price and holding things up would be a really bad look for Levy. I'm optimistic that he's worked out that Ange is perfect for us and fully deserving of proper backing.

Wage budget wise, definitely. What was Hugo on 150k? That could open up a couple of signings, if we shift Dier and Hoijberg as well that'll leave a lot of wiggle room.

Kane as well. I imagine it's more about squad numbers now rather than wages.

Also new contracts for Sarr, Udogie and possibly Son to pay for. We should be looking to tie down Romero, Kulusevski and a few others as well.

We'll be losing some big earners for sure. Kane, Lloris, Perisic, Dier. They alone must account for roughly 25m or so in annual wages.

Ange seems big on personality so I could see why he'd be leaning towards Dragusin over Todibo. There have been some question marks over Todibo in the past apparently.

Seems to be a bit of a warrior, aggressive defensively and a beast physically. Ange will back himself to develop him on the ball. Hopefully another Vicario vs Raya situation!
