TBH, It shouldn’t have got to this stage of uncertainty. Levy will never change. Pay the money FFS
Still curious as to how if we offered them more money straight up it stops Genoa punting him around Europe as they have been, looking for a bidding war. If a club is so inclined, then they are so inclined.

Some real magical thinking in this thread (and many others over the years) that seem to rely on believing that we alone are in charge of how and when a transfer takes place, and that other parties are purely subject to our will or lack thereof, mostly to the end of slagging the club and Daniel Levy off. Shouldn't be news at this point that there are hundreds of clubs on this continent that are a fucking nightmare to deal with, never mind ourselves.

We've done some great and some pretty swift business of late. How soon that's all forgotten when it suits a narrative.

This is how I think too, they could just keep moving the goalposts, buying a player is not like shopping at tesco

Whether we end up signing him or not, taking this long to wrap up deals isn’t ideal and opens up the possibility for other clubs to gazump us.

Wouldn’t even blame the player for choosing Bayern now, he’ll see us messing about for weeks and Bayern coming in and offering his worth right away. He is within his rights thinking “one team say they really want me, but the other has come in and proven they value me”.

Obviously, I hope we get him, and not going to worry until he’s signed for someone one way or another, but still frustrated with tonight’s news. It all seems to me like this could have been avoided.

This is it. It is not in Genoa's interest to close this deal quickly. It would suit them much more if they can drag the deal out through the duration of the window and start a bidding war.

Mate, I share with my heart. A lot I hear I put behind closed doors. I knew about this weeks ago. Also knowing how we covk things up from experience. We all know how our chairman cocks things up
Weeks ago? Didn’t Bayern just come in this morning? And weren’t we in for Todibo weeks ago? I’m extremely confused lol guess that’s just the transfer window
