Fair enough, I’m happy that’s he’s willing to stay until the summer.

We’ll probably get a marginal fee (€10-15m) as he’ll only have one year left, but it’s still better than nothing.

I think that this just makes sense from all sides. I do fear he's going to have to be a bit more realistic in his expectations though in the summer. Any clubs he'd actually want to move to seem to be tyre kickers, and the ones that actually would buy him he doesn't want to move to. But as long as he's professional, which it seems he always will be, I have no concerns about keeping him for the rest of this season. We need Sarr and Biss (hopefully early season version) back ASAP either way as that's what will dictate how well the rest of this season goes in midfield.

CAM: Maddison, Lo Celso (Kulu)
CM: Bentancur, Sarr
CDM: Bissouma, Hojbjerg, Skipp

Few more weeks and Ange should have tons of options to mix and match here

Good.

Will be a great squad player coming off the bench to see out matches.

I agree. We will have Sarr, Bissouma, Bentancur, Maddison, Lo Celso and Skipp already there to occupy the central positions. Add Hojbjerg in there and I think that gives us great options for a starting 3 and really good options from the bench too.

If everyone's fit, depending on who you favour that's one of Sarr, Bissouma or Bentancur on the bench alongside Lo Celso, Hojbjerg and Skipp. I really like those options.

Nice options and good depth when all players are fit. I’d go with Bentancur & Saar tbh. Bissouma started off really well, looked world class at times but game by game he looked worse and was making stupid decisions, hopefully he can regain that form he started off with.

I am happy with this, he has been very important for us this season, featured in 20 of our 21 PL games. The only game he hasn't played in was the first game against Brentford.

Generally he's performed well, and he's always been fit and not suspended and not on African Nations duty.

He doesn't seem to play Skipp that deep though. It will be Bentancur there if not Bissouma. Hojbjerg as 3rd option in that role is as good as any team would have. Skipp will cover Sarr but I'd also be happy to see Lo Celso there at times. A good mix of options for sure.

Exactly this really. Considering we are now out of all the comps I don't mind PEH staying until summer at all. Once Sarr and Bis are back we will have more then enough good options to carry us through the season. I'm also not convinced the targets we were looking at, Gallagher for example, would have been starters so I don't feel its a big miss. Plus PEH knows the system and is a hard worker. I'm sure he will go in the summer but for now i never really thought it was a priority position to fix unless a great opportunity presented itself and I was never convinced by Gallagher in general

Glad he's staying tbh, he's a great pro and knows the system well, more than happy for him to stay until summer when we will have far more options to replace him with and he will have far more options to chose from to leave.

That will be our window done then I reckon.

7/10 window but refreshing to have got the deals done so early for once.
