Ederson from Atlanta has been linked, he's a 6 as well so could be him
Yeah the Brighton game was a great example - loads of comments in the game thread about him being the worst player on the pitch etc. they either weren’t watching or so blinded by their preconceptions they are incapable of rational analysis. He was probably one of our top 3 performers on the night (which isn’t saying much, but still)He'll be off within the month anyway and I don't blame him.
Some of the comments on here are well out of order, he's a very good player, ok this isn't his perfect system but he doesn't let us down and he never slacks, quite honestly he deserves better.
Hit me.
The best thing about Højbjerg leaving would be that I don't have to read all the disrespectful takes on him in this thread anymore. He isn't really good enough for where we want to get to as a team. But I hate the disrespect he receives both on here and in the stadium. He's a good pro and seems like a decent guy.
I think he was a big problem in that game personally. Left us so open off the ball in that area with plenty of ball watching and or poor mobility. When our defenders had the ball he made himself unavailable a lot of the time. Yes he played some decent passes after one or two of our other players beat the intial press and hit the post with a good shot but they’re just moments in a game. I think he was one of the biggest reasons why we looked disjointed in our football personally.Yeah the Brighton game was a great example - loads of comments in the game thread about him being the worst player on the pitch etc. they either weren’t watching or so blinded by their preconceptions they are incapable of rational analysis. I don’t have confirmation bias. I think Hojbjerg doesn’t suit Ange and needs to leave. But he absolutely was not one of our bigger issues on Thursday. Even if I agree with your analysis, there was far worse on the pitchI think he was a big problem in that game personally. no one’s coming from the side of absolute truth here. Just different opinions on a player im sure everyone’s capable of confirmation bias from both sides of the fence.
There were worse but the consistent issue with him is that he plays in such a pivotal role in the team that not having the speed of thought or movement means his deficiencies exacerbate when others are having poor games.I don’t have confirmation bias. Yep, I said as much the other day. There were worse but the consistent issue with him is that he plays in such a pivotal role in the team that not having the speed of thought or movement means his deficiencies exacerbate when others are having poor games.
If you can't control midfield you can't control a match
For me it would be not having to listen to every commentator pronouncing his name wrong. The best thing about Højbjerg leaving would be that I don't have to read all the disrespectful takes on him in this thread anymore.
Scott would be huge moneyHe reminds me of Douglas Luiz in all honesty.
I’d prefer Vermeeren, younger and looks a real talent.
Over the next couple windows I’d go PEH and Lo Celso out and Vermeeren and Scott in.
The sticking point will be the obligation that we will no doubt want for PEH. I could really see Juve being very reluctant to agree to one. Option sure, obligate not so much especially in the £20+ mil range. They really don’t have the money to be committing to such large fees without selling. As we've got good relationships with Juve (Kula and Rodri) and Atalanta (Romero) should be easy to get things done for Hojbjerg and Ederson... if we want to.
Onus would appear to be on us to find a replacement for Hojbjerg lined up first as a PEH move to Juventus seems very much doable. As we've got good relationships with Juve (Kula and Rodri) and Atalanta (Romero) should be easy to get things done for Hojbjerg and Ederson... if we want to.

For those that haven't seen his story about when he was 19, living away from home and his father was terminally ill, should look it out. Pierre is a good man. I like him. Not a fit for us any more but that's not the only thing that defines him.He isn't really good enough for where we want to get to as a team. There have been multiple reports saying Allegri wants Hojbjerg over Phillips, but I don't think he has given any interviews saying this so assume they are quoting the reports.Sorry if its been mentioned already but im watching juve and roma and theyve just quoted allegri saying he doesnt want kalvin phillips and thinks hojberg fits his system better. Pretty open admission they will be after him.
The only Ederson I know is the Man City keeper. I'm assuming it's not him??So Ederson in and Hojbjerg out seems reasonable enough.
