There would have to be some serious incoming movement for us to sell both PEH and Richy in January. You would be asking us to sell two players in our top 15 or so in a squad already lacking depth.
It's a rebuild innit. Players that are not in the long term plans have to be moved out when we can.

Did ok last night, but we definitely missed Biss. Still likely to go in January if we can get all our ducks in order, Richy also.
Interesting on richy. Wonder what we value him at surely we get no where near what we paid.

I don't think he'll go in January. His place for Denmark at the Euros isn't under threat. Next summer he'll have 12 months on his deal and can survey the market.

I think you are missing the point that he always just wants to play every minute of every game. Money isn't the be all and end all for everyone.

He looks like a model professional who just wants to play!

I get that, but I think he might wanna see how this season plays out if we're still doing well by Jan. As I say, by next summer he'll be in a stronger position to choose his next club and there are more options on the market.

All from Football.London.

Thought he was very good last night, will be a mistake to let him go before next Summer. I still rate Bissouma well above him, but I don't think the drop off is so severe that we cant cope without Bissouma for a game or two, which is inevitable as he'll likely have another suspension soon and then the AFCON in Jan.

I was however somewhat confused about the "calm down" gestures that he was making just before half-time when we had our tails up.

It was obvious in the opening 20 minutes or so where Romero and Van De Ven couldn't get any passes through the middle.

With 2 Fulham players always staying within 2m of him, there was no chance he was getting trusted to receive it there as he cannot finesse his way out.

He was better when we got higher up the field.

But again, second half with him and Skipp in front of the CBs and it started to cause panic for even Van de Ven as his passing lanes were much more limited than normally.

If we could find a CM who has good depp passing range and has agility too then I think we will be in a great position to let him go.

Old habits die hard.

He was decent last night and our game changed to accommodate him. Still did the annoying standing behind their players thing in the middle but his distribution and change of play was good.

Maddison said it in his interview but he had to come a lot deeper to get the ball in that game and we're better when he gets it near the oppos box.

He did a good job for us and often does. Always liked him. I just think going forward we will need to change. Bentancur is the next best option at 6 and the way Sarr is playing would be obvious to have Bentancur in when Bissouma is out. We are still in the rebuild phase as Trix said but its nice to know we can call on him when needed.

We do have to be brave in the rebuild phase though and take opportunities to move on players who are 'still doing a job' for us.
We left ourselves light at the back after the summer but if we make it to January without an injury then we're in a really strong position to strengthen. Same with PEH in Jan, if the chance comes to move him on we need to.

Excellent tonight after a booking for his first foul of the night (thanks Taylor, awful officiating).

Thought we missed Bissoumas ball carrying ability but it was great to see PEH willing to move forward with the ball. Ran his legs off. Good option for Ange to have.
Regarding YC. It was a card worthy foul on its own, not one for accumulation. Just glad he did not get a 2nd.

My point was more to highlight that Paulinha got away with about 3 times as many of similar ones throughout the whole game. Rather than whether it was worthy or not.

Do we play him on Friday against Palace to save Bissouma for Chelsea?

Bissouma is one yellow card away from another ban.
