I mean at this point get gallagher in and don’t register him. Obviously we won’t do that but that’s what should be done

I assume all this means is that he is rejecting a pure loan with no obligation. I suspect if AM agree to an obligation he will go.

That was my read of it also. Can understand him not wanting to just go on loan for a year then be back in the same position.

Surely issue is not personal terms ? Atleti has over 10 players above what Hojberg is currently paid. Surely, Atletic should be able to offer good personal terms...

Going off the media reports alone i'm really not convinced Pierre will be moving unless an unexpected club comes in for him. Atleti don't want to pay up, and he doesn't want to go to Fulham it seems. I think he will opt to stay here, it's not as if he's not featured at all for us. If us bringing in Gallagher is reliant on him moving on, really need to be hearing about movement in the next hour or so.

No idea what is happening with Pierre, hopefully he sees sense and leaves the club. Certainly going to be an exciting few hours ahead. I'd imagine we would need to hear positive developments re this over the next couple of hours for something to materialise.

That seems odd? unless he, himself is pushing for a perm move at this point, although I don't think I've ever seen that? lol

Suspect it’s the temporary nature he’s not happy with. Loan with obligation looks a lot more stable and he can start settling his family in.

He might not be happy with a straight loan and wants an obligation to buy in there. I struggle to believe athletico take months to bid only for him to reject them. Must be deal structure related

What the fuck does he want honestly
Fairly sceptical they'd be talking to us for months though if he didn't want to go there. I wonder if it's the loan move specifically he's rejecting because either he doesn't want to come back here in the summer or he wants to sign an improved contract with Atletico right now rather than staying on our books for a year.
