Yeah that is pretty ridiculous alright.

The operation will remain stalled until they give their heads a wobble.

I'm not surprised they offered that fee.

Should have realised they were broke when they were signing players like Doherty and Soyuncu on free transfers :ROFLMAO:

Very few teams outside of England can afford more than 20mil. (obviously the Saudis too)

"Close to", so probably in the region of £15m. Yeah you're not getting anywhere near him for that.

Happy for him to stay if we don't get a respectable offer for him.

Being ruthless and getting unwanted players out is to take what we can get and run. Ange won't play Hojbjerg they were the only team interested, I'd have taken it.

I just have a feeling that nobody will offer near what we would be looking for and ultimately he ends up staying. Most European teams, with the exception of a small number, really just don’t have the money.

Would guess that this deal is dependent on Atletico getting in a big fee for Joao Felix, which is looking quite unlikely as of now.

If he's here he'll play games, Bissouma yet to show his consistency fitness wise. Højbjerg is reliable, would definitely be useful for us, especially until Bentancur returns. This offer is far from enough - though I agree many Spurs fan overestimate what we can get.

While he's worth a lot more- it he's not going to play- sell then we make a small profit and maybe re-invest part into a CB

Yeah, I’m not sure what happens to Felix. The only place I can see affording him is the Saudi’s but i don’t think he will want to go there. PSG seem to be triggering Dembele’s Barca buy out which puts them out of the race. Maybe Felix ends up on loan at Barca, ether way Atleti won’t get the money they want and thus won’t have the money for PEH.

That’s the kind of offer where I’d be tempted to tell them to not bother coming back with any more offers. We got £10m for Winks FFS.

Barca will get Felix, in some creative financial deal between the two probably. It's what Spanish clubs seem to do, find "ways" around paying actual money.

I would tell them to jog on with that offer. He's worth £30-35m, if you look at some other fees that have been thrown around this summer.

Very low offer but if it is the only offer and he's 100% not in the Managers plans I'd take it and move on.

He's not going to be kicked to the curb. He's a top pro. If they won't offer sensible money he stays. It's all this sort of stuff that brings our own transfer dealings to a grinding halt because clubs like AM aren't making clover any more and think everyone else owes them a favour.

Didn’t we only pay £15mil, he’s not really any better than when he was at Southampton.
The market has changed a fair bit in the last few years since we signed him.

Even if you think he’s the same quality of player that we signed him for, £15m back then is at least £25m now
