He’s been overworked all season and you can see the weariness in his play, in recent games.

When GLC is fit enough to start, I’d play a 2 man midfield of Ndombele & GLC and start hojbjerg on the bench (only to be used in emergency). Against weaker opponents , I wouldn’t mind him being not involved in the match day squad. We have enough players available to play the AM role.

I totally agree. Unfortunately, though, he's proven to be almost a necessity. Even when we've been playing against a bunch of farmers and attempted to give him a rest, we've ended up having him brought on to sure everything up.

We desperately need an alternative option. Hopefully that option is currently plying his trade at Norwich & will save us paying out £££ that can be used to carry out the much needed upgrades in our defence.

There was a stat during the game today that said he's won possession more times than any other PL player this season.

How far back do you have to go to find a new signing who slotted instantly into our first team and looked like one of our best players, not just for a few matches but a whole season? This year Hojbjerg and Reguilon, before that - ? Alderweireld maybe? Whoever scouted these two boys deserves a raise and a pat on the back.

What’s more impressive than his performances is his availability. He’s played nearly every minute of every possible game, and he’s still going strong. If he’s knackered, we wouldn’t know or notice. In the game he’s one of the ones pressing the most and closing down too. What a player.

8/10 every week. Player of season for me, absolutely love him.
He has been our player of the season but I think fatigue set in when he gave the ball away for the Zaha attempt which hit the post. One of very few mistakes he has made all season and certainly looks like he will get my vote for POTS at Spurs.

Top signing but come on .... have you seen Kane’s stats ? Don’t take him for granted

If Kane continues to put up the sort of numbers he is now in goals and assists he'll get it and deservedly so however PEH runs a very close second.

speaks volumes about his maturity that I keep thinking he’s like 29, only to look him up every time and find out he was born in 1995.

Gotta think Alderweireld and then before that Eriksen.

He’s also been in the wars in a number of games and appeared to be unscathed after those knocks.
Proper Viking.

Obviously he’s been great since he came in, but Winks has never had a game as bad as that. Fuck me, his passing was painful.

I don't think its kneejerk to say that he's been playing the way he played at Southampton for a little while now. Good, but horribly inconsistent and struggling to really impose himself on games. He must be knackered, so hopefully rest will get him back to where he was. I really, really hope his first 4-5 months weren't just a purple patch.
