He always makes these dangerous mistakes in games which is largely why he doesn't start. He did do well last night again and was quality against City but again in that one had some mad moments. Although to be fair so did Udogie last night. He definitely has his use when we need someone to get stuck in and change momentum. Hopefully in the summer we can find someone with those qualities who is better with the ball.
I think the big mistakes over the last few games show how he is trying to buy in fully to Anges system and will maybe even make Ange think better of him. Ange can live with mistakes if he feels the player is committing to what he wants. Earlier in the season he would have just booted the ball out and wound the manager up

It shows something about your professionalism and your overall performance when we finally have Maddison, Sarr, and Bentancur available for a match and there's still a thought that he could start. I said it earlier in the thread - we're incredibly fortunate to have him in the squad and he'll be invaluable here in the run-in.

He was making mistakes under Conte and Mourinho as well though. We just had more bodies back to defend them but with the high line and more bodies committed forward they're putting us in more danger.

Hea just not very composed receiving the ball under pressure and he puts a nervousness into the team when he receives on the edge of the box. Like most players hes better playing out into space on the break.

Hopefully sarr and biss are back soon and we can get back to the early season form

So was at the game on Saturday and was talking to a friend of Breannan Johnson. He told me Bissouma is always late for training and meetings and Hoijberg has pulled him up and told him its not good enough and this led to Hoijberg having a go at Sonny saying he is the captain and he is the one who should be pulling players up if they are not being professional and giving there all. I am no fan of Hoijberg, I think he is limited but I do love his attitude and if above is true then we need more like him in the dressing room pushing standards. Pinch of salt and all that but taught I'd share.

I'm not doubting what you are saying but it would genuinely surprise me if Ange put up with this sort of behaviour.

Well if Zubimendi is going to be one of our top targets in the summer, then maybe Ange isn't putting up with this sort of behaviour.

I had wondered why a DM was seen as one of our most important signings.

Credit to PEH for his professionalism and impact whenever he's been subbed on. Today was another example of that. He was dictating play, managed some nice moments to beat the press and progressed the ball well when he needed to.

Had an absolutely gorgeous dribble, bamboozling two villa dumbasses in quick succession (my kingdom for a vid of it!)

May be controversial but I would try and get him to sign a new contract. Really is good at helping us see out games. He also has more talent than most give him credit for. What has happened to Skipp ?

He would start for most good teams across Europe, he's leaving in the summer.

Hojbjerg has never been a bad player. He has created goals for us in the past and younger players should look to him as a role model re professionalism when you're probably going to leave in the next window.

Coming on later in games seems to suit him, he doesn't get pressed as intensely and has a little extra time on the ball

Said this previously but keeping him in January really was win/win. We weren’t going to sign anybody close to being better than him in the January market. He’s perfect for coming on and seeing out games but he’s also way better than that. Hope he gets a great move in the summer.
