Yeah I wonder merits of switching Romero to middle and putting Sanchez on right.Exactly. Answer is much better. Romero should be central

Not sure I agree with all of those, but even if I did, it would hardly change the point? I could list dozens of players who started badly and stayed so.
it really depends on the set-up, and not every manager plays a back 3 with the same tactics.Yeah I wonder merits of switching Romero to middle and putting Sanchez on right.
spot on mate great post
Don't write him off so soon, he was class for Sporting. Our whole squad is currently playing terribly so it's stupid to judge him.
Just give the lad time! People wrote Kulu off after 2 games and he was then brilliant for a long period. Kulu will be great again, just needs some confidence.
Where do you base that statement from? It's alot easier to learn to defend than to attack.
Eric Dier ….Where do you base that statement from?
So blocking, tackling, intercepting, 1v1 defending aren’t techniques?Surely it’s already apparent that he is one of our best technical players in the squad? His issues thus far has been defending and decision making on the ball.
Lol, this stems from you questioning @Flobadob's comment on technique which he used in the context of attacking wingback play and finishing. Should we ask him if he meant the technique of 1v1 defending? So blocking, tackling, intercepting, 1v1 defending aren’t techniques?
They are fundamental techniques for out of possession.
Exactly. Hakimi scored a lot more goals than he got assists under conteIt kind of was... that was the whole deal with Conte and wingbacks - the ideal play was a cross from one wingback to the other.
Some personal exp and can think of a few successful examples of FW/MF>DFs; TAA, Moses, Sess etc. Whereas the other way around is more rare.Where do you base that statement from?
I remember most on here thinking Ricardo Pereira was one of the best RBs in the league before his injury, but his first season at Leicester he was great going forward but a disaster at the back and it took him best part of a season to sort that out. Give Porro time and then judge. The PL is one of the hardest leagues in the world to adapt to at the best of times and he has come into a complete mess of a team.
It’s pathetic that it is. You can’t be on the back of a player before they have even settledIt really gets to me why this has to spelt out time and time again.
