The problem is now, IF we manage to get the deal over the line, fans will be that relieved that we managed to bring him in that we will forget everything else briefly and see the window as a success. Even IF we manage to bring him in, we are still 2 short of what we needed to do in Jan.

We have seen too many of these played out in past to believe Levy.
Having said that, Jan window is indeed difficult window - no1 targets are rarely achievable....unless you spend like Chelsea doing on Enzo or Arsenal trying with Caicedo. Even if you do bid there is no guarantee.

Personally, I didnt even expect Porro to happen 2 weeks back when Conte was lashing out. To bid & get Porro , at the very least tells me, Levy is backing Conte in some sense.

We would all want us to spend like Chelsea do , but I take heart in what we have done this window.
