I’ve heard he’s been struggling for a while with the weight of those massive balls

I've been impressed by him all season. His work rate and desire to make things happen have been clear for all to see.

But yesterday his tactical awareness and positioning was really top quality. Watching him switch from central midfield to covering right back to getting in the box to try to get goals was really top drawer.

His desire to get back and win that header at the far post second half is what I love about him.

Yeah that was brilliant. Really repsonsible for such a young player. In general I'd like to see a bit more craft from his passing, but his overall game is strong and he is a real team player.

he could be really fantastic if he continues to develop like this.

Atvthe moment, he is "the glue guy" doing all the little things that allow our FBs and more attacking players to have that additional freedom. Think the craft will come with time.

Agree with above, however, he did get caught in possession by Pallinha a few times (at least I think it was him),when we were on the front foot, by trying to turn rather than a simple pass backwards or sideways, which meant they could break on us. Fortunately we were able to recover without any damage, this time!
Guess it’s all part of the learning process & he’ll hopefully be wiser for it next time.

So many great things about this little clip.

Sarr making up the ground to win the header.

Vicario's instant reaction.

The look of resignation by Raul after getting beat to the ball.

I see Vic appreciate it.
VDV looks a little pissed off that he's on the ground an not ready to push out for an offside trap.

Great effort from Sarr, He is the water carrier for this team isn't he

It's the one thing that annoys me sometimes when the attacker shows more hunger to win a ball than the defender. The defending player should always fight to attack the ball as much if not more. It wasn't just Sarr though, the urgency to recover the ball by everyone after a mistake was most impressive. Like Vicario gave it away a couple of times but his team mates put the extra effort to cover for him. It's this togetherness that will help young players like Sarr thrive. It means he can take risks and not be afraid as he will have others cover for him too as he will cover for them.

He covers so much ground in there. It does remind me of the kind of work Kante was putting in.

Agree. That's another thing I love about Romero. He attacks a ball like he's a striker.

Yeah, that's as good to watch as any goal for me.
Such awareness and drive for Pape to spot the danger and get to it, along with big Vic being big Vic.
Loving the way this team all support each other.
