Most of us believed Sarr was a good talent ahead of the season, but who really expected him to come into the midfield and boss it like he has? You can still see he has areas he can develop but he is so, so good. Bentancur will be getting a run for the money when he's back.

That's one thing I'm wondering - who misses out in midfield when Bentancur is back? Last season he made our team, I think we had 55% win rate before his injury and 33% afterward. Is Sarr good enough to keep Bentancur out of the team?

It will allow rotation. The drop off to Hojberg is quite stark in my opinion, in terms of possession and comfort on the ball.
Bentancur won’t be straight back in the starting line up and certainly won’t be doing 90 mins.
Then we have the ACoN in January so lots of rotation will be needed come second half of the season.

I thought this guy was fucking tremendous today
Agree, though he did misplace a pass that could have been costly as well as lose a duel - both of which you’d have called for Hojbjergs head for if it had been him no matter what else he’d done in the game 😂

One of the things lost in Sarr's year - I think the freedom to make mistakes that Ange allows has played a big role in just letting him play. He makes the odd error here or there, but never dwells on it, and just gets on with the game.

Yeah not really true. I give Hojbjerg credit when he does well and will criticise him when he doesn’t. My only real problem regarding PEH has been him starting games for us because he shouldn’t be, that problem is now gone and he’s a useful player off the bench to keep things sturdy. He could never and has never put in the consistent levels of performance both Sarr and Bissouma have so far this season though and I do think we’d be better off with more suited players to the system than him and Skipp for the 6 and 8 positions. Bentancur will be a great option once he’s ready

This is genuinely just a question and not me criticising in any way but if people had to summarise what he’s actually good at what would you say?

Again, not a critique of him in any way it’s just I often don’t notice him for parts of the game sometimes.

Because he has done it so well we all take it for granted - he's so good in running into spaces for the inverted FBs, Biss and Madders to bounce the balls progressively up the field. We don't see him often because he's always on the run into empty pockets. He's a very smart player IMHO.

I thought he was tremendous today. In, by far and away, the biggest game he has ever played in and he looked fantastic. Tired towards the end, understandably which is why it’s so important when Bentancur is back that we can rotate during the games.

This lad has the lot though, a superb talent.

Another excellent performance. His energy is outstanding and the amount of interceptions we had from midfield was really encouraging.

His energy and quiet way of going about his game reminds me a lot of Kante. I think he can run all game and make interception after interception. It's not always noticeable but we are usually dominating from midfield now.

He tries to do more and get into positions to score and create, he already has 1 goal and 1 assist, which Bissouma hasn't managed.

He doesn't look the best on the ball to me. He could improve in this area and become an excellent all-rounder. Or maybe he'll stick to his strengths and do the dirty work for the team and allow others to play.

Either way I think we've got a winner here.

as good as he performs in each game, he still has room for improvement, such as his passing and crossing. i know that is not his game. but he still can improve.

also, his long range shots. i know he can score from long range. but so far, still not good enough.

He’s still 19, so he’s got plenty of time to learn.
