I think what I said is that for all Roses dynamism, Davies has far better delivery of a cross which is why he finished last season as the top assisting defender in the league. In the same breath I also said I prefer Rose and would start him, just that Davies is more likely to create a goal as Danny is wasteful from positions where he could create. Rose was excellent last night and that was a great piece of play but I see not how it disproves my very ‘on the fence’ comments, particularly to the extent that you need to randomly tag me in your post as if I’m the only person to ever say Rose is wasteful. I like him, I think he’s a bad crosser, both can be true.

Also, even if I had been as damning of Rose as you imply, vitriol is ugly, particularly when we should be focusing on something joyous. You don’t see me calling out the fellow who said ‘Dele is technically poor’ do you?.
